Locked in deep, dark chambers by the most powerful war lords around, these humans have lost their minds and created some of the most potent explosives known to all of the world...

Appearance: Einstein's hair, except in your team's colors. White labcoat, with splotches of your team's colors all over. Carries 2 vials, which, while moving, he is constantly mixing back and forth (pouring them into each other over and over), and they change color every time he pours. Also, he has tied several frying pans onto his labcoat, covering the chest and back.

Alright, I know, I'm really bad at descriptions (I lack an imagination) but who cares, write your own. Anyway...

Chemist
HP: 30
Power: 22 (unblockable)
Armor: 10 for melee/0 for magic
Blocking: 10% front/5% sides
Movement: 3 spaces
Range of Attack: 4 spaces
Recovery: 4 turns
Attack Damage Pattern: (LOS not applied)
5 squares, x formation. Example:

OXO
XOX
OXO

O=Damage square
X=Nondamage square

The reason LOS is not applied is he lobs a vial over the heads of the units, causing it to drop right upon the targeted unit.

Long recovery and low HP means this unit should be kept close to the back, away from harm.

The chemical fumes emitted from this unit means that attempting to put 2 of them on the same battlefield would instantly vaporize the entire field... can only have 1 at a time.

So this guy is basically an overpowerd Pyro with a slightly different attack pattern. There are three reasons why I don't like this unit.

1. It is simply too powerful. A range of 4 with a potential 5x22=110 damage is just too strong. Especially since it is unblockable. The pyro's damage was made so low for a reason, besause it can effect so many targets so easily. You have basically made another unit for the oh so loved magebomb.

which brings me to my second point.

2. The X attack pattern is not a good thing. The fact is that some people do make theri formations taking the standard cross pattern attacks into mind, specifically for the wisp and DSM/Pyro. If you have both the DSM and the Chemist, it makes creating formations much, much harder. If you throw the wisp into the mix, you basically garuntee that there is no good fomation to start with.

3. The introduction of this unit would cause many Golds to start putting LW's into their non-turtle formations. While the Lightening Ward can be a bastion of hope for the grey, a large number of Golds grow out of its protection as they become better at the game. Sadly, the possibility of both the DSM and the Chemist being on the field would likely lead to more LW's poopping up. Now I can't garuntee this, the range of the Chemist may prevent that, but I wouldn't be surprised to find many more LW if this was in the game.

Overall, its overpowered, a DSM strength (or even stronger) without any strings attached like the DSM to the DT. Good effort, but I'm ont a fan.

Yeah, I figured it would be overpowered, I'll hafta dwell on finding some way to balance it, lol.

EDIT: Nvm, lol, I meant to design some sort of turtle weapon anyway, and designing a new mage isn't going to help that out any.
