No extra assassin's?

Not that I was going to pick it, but it was odd to just immeadiatly recieve the extra scout. Did no one pick it or did I miss something?

I'd hope not. A scout beats an assassin ANY day....hehe. Having two of them is great, :) Also, I don't even think it's possible to have two assassins, anymore, i think a new gold account is automatically given a scout w/o any option of an assassin.

Wasn't given the option to choose. A Scout just appeared with all my new units in settings. Fine with me cuz' I wanted th Scout:D

Right, it just says you'll get your choice, but I agree. Scout owns assassin... period. Just wondered what the deal was and how other people did it.

you'd have to specially request the assassin, the scout's been the general consensus since day 1.

Ok, sorry for the assumption, but furthermore, did you ask for the extra because Im sure they dont drop, so how did you get both?? Are you on Legends server?

no, i got it because when i first went gold my account got deleted from banff, so bills remade it in great lakes, and gave me the extra unit because hes just cool like that?

Oh thats sweet, Congrats man. The mods here are quite cool about stuff like that. And again, didn't mean offense with the Gray comment, I didn't know.

Yeah, I think for like one day, they offered extra Scout and extra Assassin if you upgraded to Gold on Banff. Think it was the first day Banff was up and running. And in the beginning, like the first week, if you upgraded to Gold, it was randomly choosen between extra Scout and Assassin, don't think anybody got the Assassin. So, yeah, very few people have duel Assassins.

Scouts don't always own assassins. More than once my assassin has fought and killed a scout all by herself. the scout came cose to killing her, but she killed him first. Her recovery is lower, she has 4% more armour, their attacks are equal, and she can always hit his back for guaranteed hits. So can the scout, but the assassin's lower recovery cancels that out. I think the people who complain about the assassin sucking don't know how to use her properly.

You can get assassins when your grey, but can u get scouts when grey?

I have 2 assassins, I got one in a unit drop.

I also have 3 clerics, and 3 barrier wards.

btw: whoever said that the 1st day banff was up gold's on banff got both... he was right :p

Now, for those of you who diss the assasin: "Guerrila Warfare!"

She runs in hurts two guys. She gets hurt. You heal her. She gets hurt again. You deal some more pain to them and then run back over to your side of the field. Either you have baited them out into a bad position, or you get to save her for a later day. Now try that out with a scout!:p

When most of this stuff was posted you couldn't get assasins in drops i dont think. And the scout is pretty much better. But now if you can get an assasin in the drop thats better than a cleric or BW

i got an assassin unit drop, i put 2 assassins to replace the knigth I threw on the trash can

Aenarion, the Scout is perfect for Guerrila Warfare. Its a hit and run kind of unit. I find that he beats the Assassin hands down. The Assassin can hold her own against a Knight, but 9 times out of 10, she dies. I like the Beast Rider more. If you ever play with 2 scouts, you'll know what I mean.

I think if it came down to just 2 assassins vs 2 scouts, the assassins would definitely assassinate them. They could easily select one to lock down and then they would move on to the other.

Now yes, for general play, I would prefer to have 2 scouts. But apples to apples the assassin would be better than a scout 1 on 1. When you have a lot of pieces the socut is much more useful. But in a clinch I find my assassin getting the job done better than the scout.
