Demon
These creatures come from hell to hunt, find, and scavage any weak soul and bring them to the dark lord. They bring travesty to those that are nearby and instill fear in others, they are rumored but not spoken of, for if you say their name you are thought to perish.

HP: 38
Armor: 0
Blocking: 40 (20)
Movement: *****EDIT: movement = 2
(teleprotation)
Recovery: 2
Range:3
Attack: 10 *focus

1: All tiles surrounding the demon are off colored, any unit next to the demon takes 10 damges per turn no armor, any other special effect negates the damage.

2: To attack the demon selects 1 square in a straight line up to 3 squares away.
(dmw 1 square shorter)

3: The affected unit becomes possessed, even though it takes no damage, it may not attack while possessed. All squares next to the possessed unit (even if it moves) are delt the 10 damage . ( unless afflicted by; poison, paralyzation, barrier..etc..) Possessed units stay possessed until the demon looses focus.

It's a focus attack that only effects one unit, right? Interesting. It is just kinda like a frost golem that damages surrounding units, though.

The possessed unit can move and block though, right? So you could have it do 10 unblockable, unreducable damage to all of your units, and easily break focus by moving toward the demon... Does possessing something break focus?

Possessed attacks have been created already.. like many times.

But I guess it's not a bad unit. Give more details though, on your attack.

little over powered but a pretty good idea.

Too strong, basically throw this in the midst of some spellcasters, follow up with a Muddy, and thats all she wrote. If you want more, I'll write more, but this is really all that needs to be said.

yea i didnt think about the busher combo......
*****EDIT: movement = 2
um, the effect is like this.

target 1 unit, all squares next to the unit are discolored (basically the unit becomes a semi demon). If the possessed unit moves the units stop taking damage. and the units it moves next to will. if range is 3 the busher shouldnt be a problem unless i cant count.

possessed unit has same stats and doesnt lose any health, it just cant attack. units damaged by possessed unit lose focus.

hope that clears it up.

I agree, except for the tantalizing (XD I said tantalizing...) possibiltity of taking a possesed unit and moving it inside a circle of you opponents enemies...then BWing him :D still, that doesnt make up for much

but the rare happenstance that you could navigate your unit into their turtle is rare.

(i said rare 2ce in that sentence....) ;)

XXCGF X=off board F=frosty
X0SMS S=scout M=mud golem
000D0F C=cleric G=stone Golem
0000L0 D=dragon L=LW

this is a bad example, but you hit the left scout with it (or the stone golem) the cleric takes 10, they break focus and you busher, or the like

if im not mistaken the board has an extra row that you are missing kyir

Kyir
09-05-2005, 02:55 PM
that row dsnt matter, that thing has 5 range, up at the front it can still pwn the cleric with a busher

*** im not trying to argue****

if you keep 1 unit up front, like we always do, it wont work... and it has 2 movement, and its attack is a straight line....
