Movement: 0
Blocking: 100% front, 33% sides, 0% back (See below)
Recovery: 3 turns
Attack: Focus attack that targets a line directly away from the contraption to the end of the board. Will attack any unit (Friendly or enemy) walking within that area for 18 damage. Note that it hits whatever is in its path first, like the scout. The "front" is defined as whatever direction it is facing when focused. If a unit stops moving in the covered area, it will be hit again at the end of the next turn.

I would use it. Make it like the other contraptions though; 100% blocking all sides and can be damaged by non-magical attacks when focusing.

its a good idea, but it poses an interesting problem...
in a situation like this:

OOXAO
OOXKO
OOXOO
OOWOO

W = sentry ward
K = knight
X = ward's attack area
O = empty

the assassin is going to try to attack the knight from behind, but it has 2 possible routes - one going thru the sentry ward's attack area, and one not going through it. there would need to be a way to program the assassin take the safe path if there is one. it's complex
