The Arcadian Knights: Banff Section

Hello, The Arcadian Knights have just recently expanded to Banff, and we are looking for new recruits.

Rules Of The Clan- Taken from the website:
1. No cybering. The Arcadian Knights has little tolerance for cyberers, and our policy is, if you wish to cyber, leave our clan.
2. No spamming. Any and all spammers caught in the lobby will be expelled from the clan. The Arcadian Knights expect good behavior in our members.

3. No mimsconduct among clan members. While disagreements among other clan members are understandable, we discourage the thought of making these arguments public. If you cannot settle your disagreements in a civil manner, then you could at least settle them in private, VIA messaging/e-mail or in-battle, without using clan messaging or the lobby. Members caught causing trouble among other clan members will be given one and ONLY one warning. If you do not heed this warning and are caught as the agressor of another fight, you will be tried and punished accordingly.

4. Policy on free stats: Don't. Simple and clean. We have expelled people for free statting before and will do it again.

5. Policy on grey jumping: Also, don't. Grey jumping is not only frowned apon by our clan, but the TAO community itself. However, this rule is not a blanket statement; our clan only strictly forbids fighting greys without warning or prompting. Exceptions to this rule include, but are not limited to: Putting your piece down and letting greys jump you (also known as "open challenges", I have done this before when I wanted a fight); asking a grey to fight; jumping a grey that you see breaking any of the above four rules (this one has been used to help get cyberers to leave TAO, so not only do I allow it, I salute you for it).

FORUM RULES:
1. No cybering. Above rules apply.

2. No spamming. While posts can be deleted in the forums by a moderator or admin, it is a hassle to delete people's spammed posts. Frequent violators will be removed from the site.

3. Swearing is allowed, but try keep it PG-13. Not everyone in TAO is an adult; in fact, very few are.

There is no stat recruirement, however you recruire a tryout, contact Uniquinous, HatchetKlown17, Cliche, Darkness, LonelyTylenol, or Fire and Brimstone.

The Website is currently down, but we are in the process of making a new one, stay tuned.

Honestly, from my perspectives as well from others, it is difficult if not impossible to start a clan that will match the three predominant clans in the Banff. I personally would recommend you guys find a trustful player whose home base is Banff as one of the leaders.

Either way, there have been accusations from AK about rank-camping, and rightly so. I won't be the first to deny it happens, particularly in the case of carlos22 and rantzu1. You've just got to look at the rankings and you'll notice it.

Btw, didn't Bax make a quick list of the top 50, and stat'd them all to see if they changed? I think it was like 22 of the top 50 had actually played a game by the end of the week. We're talking 56% of the golds in the top 50 not playing on a week-in, week-out basis. And that's just GL!

Just so you know where I personally stand on the issue, I've taken the specific cases of carlos and crx (as they're in netjak) to Twelve in the past. There's little we can do, unless some sort of new ranking system is implemented. The accounts are their own, after all. :(

I'm kind of indifferent about it. Sure I'd like to see something implemented so they would need to gain/lose at least one stat per week. But like I said, I'm basically indifferent about it.

We're just beginning on Banff, but once we settle down, if it becomes a huge issue you can PM me your concerns and I'll talk to LT and the other leaders about what action should be taken, if any.

But just give us a chance to get everything together and settled in on Banff before getting too mad. :)

Yes, crx was an ex-AKer. Not sure what happened so I'm just assuming Shamus is correct and him and LT didn't get along too well.
He made Darkness invite him though, and nobody else other than Darkness was allowed to, so I'm also assuming him and Darkness had some kind of friendship or something like that.

You're right, Mag. You're absolutely right. I do discourage rank camping and I do have issues with people in netjak that do rank-camp; however, I don't say netjak's a bad clan because you have ranked retirees, nor would I ever; what I will say, however, is that those retirees aren't what would make you a great clan, nor would they ever. In fact, I would go so far as to say if you were to strip all the inactives and the retirees out of netjak and leave only the active players, you go from a dominating first to fourth or fifth, but then again, so would any of us (to strip out the retirees from AK would include Cliche, Berz, speaker, flipout and myself, and potentially others, a fact I'm none too proud of as a player OR a leader, and one I plan on correcting).

What I do want to know, however, is whether or not these accounts are sponsored for the sake of rank enhancement... I cannot endorse that, and I hope my clan does not come to that either.

My issues with rank camping come primarily from the idea of an account being sponsored to keep it on the rankings, and that's why AK as a clan refuses to sponsor outgoing ranked accounts to keep them on board (if you're able to find a member willing to strike a deal, take it up with them, not us). If someone wants to keep their account around and sink the money into something they're not using, that's their deal, but if you have to find someone else to keep your ranking points alive for you, well, try the next window.

I'd like to apologize for the hypocrisy, but I will not accept it as a matter of the clan, but a personal hypocrisy of mine. For what it's worth, I don't want AK to be known for being a clan of campers, and (god forbid) if it should come to that, I want you to hang me by my testicles until I can yodel in soprano.

But more importantly, if AK becomes #1 because of a bunch of campers, take the title with a grain of salt. I sure will.

I believe I got at least most of the story and I don't think what I got is really an issue, in fact I'm a little surprised she got expelled from netjak in the first place. It's kinda like Mad-Eye--I know he got expelled, and why (I was even the one that put him on the chopping block, though inadvertedly); I just don't think what he did was really all that bad.

Since we all know we'll never agree on these matters (and believe me, the latter has already been argued to death), can we all just agree to disagree? You can all come here to slap me on my wrist when things backfire on me. Mmkay? Mmkay. :)

I just got access to a gold on Army so I will be playing there a lot more. I still whish I could help on Army, or even banff. And if only I could reach 1600 on Dres again.

Anyway, leadership's on Liberal. So far only 57 and I know the pass, but I'm going to be giving it out to the others as I sees 'em.
