I have gold account on great lakes

I paid for my account to be upgraded on great lakes server yesterday (about 24 hours ago) it hasn't activated yet though, but would like my forum account changed to Gold, and possibly an idea of when my account will become gold because it has already been 24 hours...

Well, if it's already been 24 hours, it will most likely activate very soon. They can be late sometimes. To upgrade your forum account, you will need to go to the support and help desk, and submit a ticket.

You have to remember, it's not animated to upgrade accounts. Administrators have to actually do it themselves. As for your forum account, send a ticket.
