Sig Rules... this is important for newer members [Archive]

well, I am pretty new, and if you are too then you might want to read this...there are certain rules, I have found...well, I was informed :bigsmile: , that you must follow if you are to have a personalized sig....for example

*your pic should be 600x140 (learned it the hard way :p *
*when making a sig, profain words should not be in your sig*
*no nude pictures on your sig :bad: ...we have kids who play this game*
*not a rule per sey, but something catchy is always great in a sig*

well, now that you have some idea what the rules are, I can give you a site that will help you make your sig come to life...personally, I have found this site very helpful

that is the Midnight Designs web page. sign up and follow the instructions and you will be on your way...i'll give you a few tips on what you should think about in your sig

1) the url...or what kind of picture you are looking for
2) color...what kind of text color would you like, or what would catch peoples eye
3) name... what name would you like on your sig? keep in mind that you only have a certain amount of space :)
and
4) what would you like your text to be? again, remember that you will have limited space

well, now that you have learned from my mistake, you are on your way

I have to agree with the above items that I have quoted...it is interesting about the 600x140 rule though, I had no clue that it had come into affect
