First off, I apologize for the way I handled myself the past couple of days, however I have been under a lot of pressure in my actual life (Yes I do have one ;) ). It has also made me very tense and very "potent" in things.

2ndly, Yes, I have been working under biast pre-tenses lately in all the comments, sadly I did miss some important points that where trying to be put across (Namely Skof, Sorry about everything).

Last but not least, yes this thread could also be in some way hipocritical in what i'm trying to get across, so all I can say is: "Sorry for the trouble and just keep on tao'ing".

I'm hurt :tease: Ok, I understand where you were going Realist and know that this is one of your pet peeves. I even agree with you on this that people shouldn't use words they don't know how to spell if they aren't going to use spell check (for the most part. Sometimes spelling is overrated if the idea and message get across.) I guess the problem is the situation here was a serious apology and something as trivial as spelling shouldn't distract someone from the meaning. It's a matter of knowing when to joke and when to hold-um. I, too, joked on this and am probably as guilty as you are at not seeing the seriousness of this.
I guess my problem is is that I take life and this board with a grain of salt and make jokes, even in real life with my wife, at the most inopportune times (ask her. She hates when I'm a joker.)
I'll try to be more sensitive but can't promise anything.

I would be quite suprised since you have still yet to tell me why you would delete a post of mine that wasn't near as harsh as the post it was replying to (which clearly went against TOS). Others took up for your decision until they saw the entire situation, then your defenders were gone and of course so were you. But that post was still there weeks later. *shrug* Inconsistent, I never wanted his post deleted, I just wanted an explanation of why his wasn't but mine was.

Seven NJs came in here to attack me (not including anyone who didn't make any negative remarks whatsoever) in the span of around six hours. Many of these members post fairly rarely on GD. Its not impossible that there was no planning. I guess I shouldn't blame 12 just because some of his clanmates can't resist joining in the attack with him.

Bleh, who knows? I've always found the way the pack operates to be interesting from a social psychology perspective, even before they directed their enemity against me. I see the same kind of process occuring on a much larger scale in many other areas of life too. There probably isn't any overriding conspiracy directing everything that happens, it just sort of waves over, and what gets repeated often enough by people you consider your ideological allies seems true to you even if you wouldn't have otherwise thought of it on your own.

In politics and media this is a much recurring phenomenon.

I totally 100% agree 12, but it just didn't seem fair for such an attack to come from that. I mean, look at the hundreds of threads that people correct grammar and spelling in. The percentage is astronomical, granted this was a poor time to do it, but even so, do you kind of get where I'm coming from?

Flame wars are damaging when people gang up on some kid who can truly feel reviled by it, but between a mod and a bunch of members, I think it can be quite a productive and enlightening experience.

Apparently my post was too real for some. Fact is this, realist was completely out of line for how I think a mod should treat posters when he made his initial post about Moose and his grammar errors. I am not buying that it was a joke, noone else is so quit the act. Which leads to me to my main problem with this entire thing, you take the shot at Moose but then cry when people come to his aid that we are a pack of wolves feasting on the blood of women and children. Give me a break. All your defenders admit your post was tasteless, if only you would admit it or anything you do wrong at least once then I would somewhat respect you.

I like Realist. He's a good friend. He responded to every attack in this thread with patience and restraint, in the face of some pretty damn petty comments. No one deserves this kind of shit, and least of all someone who spends his time making this a bearable place to be.

As a member of the netjak.com clan, I'm almost embarrassed today. You may not like it when I say this, but Realist is right about the pack mentality. Defending your friends and clan mates is one thing, but this has gone far enough. I'm not just talking about this incident. Massive netjak repping is extremely out of line. I don't know how it got to this point, but I really hope this makes a few of you think about why you do things like that.

I love netjak, you have become my clan, and my home in a way. I love the loyalty and the relationships we have. But mindless mob mentalities are NOT why I joined this clan.

There is indeed a segment of netjak that tends to post together on certain subjects. But please, if you look at it closely, it's always the SAME people. Usually it involves Jeffery, Roody, OMK, Prophet, Nomar, Wack, 66(when he was active) and myself.

That is hardly all of netjak, Glam. Exiled, Doubledown, Clacker, Thargor, Hugh Junit and EVERYONE else don't jump in very often. They are as much a part of netjak as anyone else but they have their own style whether they agree with those who speak about it or not.

Realist tends to get on a lot of people's nerves. Netjak is a big clan. Chances are, he will then get on a lot of netjakkers nerves. That's simply a matter of math.

Glam, I know you're not privy to our email ring, but when we fight over an issue we FIGHT over an issue. A good part of netjak is composed of stubborn men with heart. Jeff is correct in saying that we discuss things with each other in the same way we discuss things here. When it gets hot, it gets hot.
