Copy and Paste Outside Info Into TAO

Well since I usually help noobs and clueless golds, having to re-write whole URLs is a hassle. I was just wondering if Bills could make it so you can copy and paste things into the TAO chat bar. It would help in tournaments if you want to keep on saying something, like "If you want to participate, sign up at.." and whatnot.

Don't think bills can control that. I think that's up to seed. Not sure though, could be wrong.

You CAN copy and paste into the TAO chat bar. You can even copy something you have written and not yet submitted.

Hit space, to activate the input bar. Then hit paste.

Well I tried it now, copying a URL into the input bar. *sigh* still didn't work. I'm using a Mac computer right now, so [Apple button]+V is paste.

Not sure how well it works on a Mac. I avoid TAO when Mac'ing it.

It's an iMac, Version OSX Panther. If that means anything at all to you..

iys efferot when some one sends you a link to a forum... have to write it down, and most free forums have long names....

it suks.. i opens "EVERY THING" in a new tab rather than a window..even TAO...

it suks.. i opens "EVERY THING" in a new tab rather than a window..even TAO...
That would be nice, except that the text being displayed is more image than text. One tricj is to screen shot, open paint, then you have the address until you can open it.

If you PC can paste, it should go in.
TAO is flash and should not be reliant on browser or platform.

I copy (ctrl-c) and then go back to the TAO window, click anywhere, then hit your {period} and (ctrl-v). Not sure why it is not working for you. Other than you are using fruit.

I have thought of that so many times, and it doesn't sound very complicated to do.

Tested the copy/paste using Firefox 1.4 on an iMac using OSX 10.4.
Works fine if I copy a web address, go into the game window, click on the chat box area, hit space, then Apple-N.

OSX Panther is arguably the best OS ever. Linux bites, noone even knows how to use it, and the only workable Windows OS is XP. and look
