So, anyone else ever had TAO lockup their comp?

I'll just be playing, and suddenly I can't do anything. Always have to reboot my comp. I've had this problem for quite some time now, and I know that with the number of people playing I cannot be the only one.

Anyways..yeah, the most recent time it occured (about 5 minutes ago) I had actually just logged on, no even typed anything or entered an arena. Wish I could figure out the problem.

And for sanity's sake...PLS do not give some hashed out BS response like:
its your connection type
its your browser
its your comp

I have this same issue on both my laptop AND desktop, have experienced it using 3 different browsers, and 4 different internet connection types. This is most likely either a Flash/TAO error or a direct hardware incompatability. There's likely more possibilities, but those seem the most likely.

Never had it lock up my system, sorry.
Sounds like TAO hates you.

my computer, my laptop, and my roomie's laptops. its the reason they don't play TAO, and I don't play too much anymore. Can't really play when you crash 1 out of 4 times you log onto the servers.

edit: and no, its not our ISP as we crash on our campus when we logon there, and at my parent's place.

Are all those located in the same area? You might just be in an area that just doesn;t get a good connection to uVault.

eh, the campus is a modern network, but its only about 15 miles from my apt, but my parents place is several hours drive away. It could be just this whole area, but that's a big area to cover.

4 different internet connection types.

Wireless at my Apt,
straight cable internet through ethernet at parents place
Dialup at various locations
wireless/ethernet port on the campus (depending on exactly where i'm connecting at)

?
where in the world did you get that?

A wireless internet connection is just a normal broadband connection with a wireless router attached.

Take your typical cable modem, and instead of plugging it into your comp, you plug it into this wireless router instead. Then anyone who's within range and has a wireless card can access the internet through it (though obviously I set a pw on it to keep just anyone from using mine).

Well, this happens to me about 1 out of every 10 times i log on, but it very well could be my computer, as it's a piece of sh*t.

I've never had TAO do anything to my computer..(well there was that one time I got banana on my keyboard eating a snack in a really intense battle...) but that's not the point. :p

Damn you bottle... theres still banana on my keyboard...
