Beast unit
Hp: 30
Armor: 20 (due to scaled skin)
Block: 0
Movement: 4
Attack: Poison
Range: 1
Recovery: 3
This unit is a humanoid that has snakelike qualities, torso is human with scaly skin, and the bottom (where the legs should be) is a snakelike tail. It slithers up to its opponent and attacks with a poison attack that initially deals 10 or so damage if the creature it is attacking has no armor defense, then every turn thereafter the unit poisoned takes an additional 3 damage from poison. (Poison possibly countered by a clerics heal spell.)

i think cuathon means that similar ideas have been posted many times and you should try to be aware when your idea follows a trend

i see... how about elementals? have ideas for them been thrown out numerous times as well? (ex: fire, water, earth elementals; fire does bonus dmg to the earth , water does bonus dmg to the fire, and earth does bonus smg to the water than any other units on the field)

that would be like pokemon, like i have said before. read hashish's mancer units. and poison would just be stupid.

Its an ok idea. If you put in a real attack and forgot all about having elements, this could be a good unit. Its not too original, but contrast between special complicated units and basic units will make tactics arena a good game.

intense - What, praytell, is wrong with pokemon? If you can look past the cutesy exterior, you'll find a deep, strategic game with plenty of possibilities. The same sort of idea is implemented as well in many more "respectable" titles, such as Fire Emblem, the Megaman series, etc. Original, no, but nonetheless a very interesting strategic idea which could be implemented.
Also, what's so stupid about poison? It's also a good idea, although I agree that it has been suggested far too many times here.
