Welcome.
This thread is to discuss the availibility of players, for I will be hosting a Tournament when all are available. (For reasons shown below.)
Due to the Rev Team Tournament, I don't want to start this now, as well as many other Tournaments going on around this time.
I plan to work out most of the kinks for this when I get people who are dedicated to doing this sign up.
Now, down to buisness.
This Tournament will be comprised of 3 brackets.
Pro
Prize: 3 months free Gold Account
Please, only veterans in this catagory. Don't sign up knowing you have no chance, and just to try and win big. It defeats the entire purpose of the three brackets.
Sport
Prize: 1 month free Gold Account
Novice
Prize: To be decided
Sign up according to your skill level.
This PARTICULAR Tournament will allow only one setup - Turtles.
Units Permitted:
1 Lightening ward
1 Barrier Ward
1 Beast Rider
1 Dragon (counts as 2 units)
1 Mud Golem
1 Frost Golem
1 Stone Golem
1 Furgon
1 Cleric
1 Assassin
1 Enchantress
2 Scouts
3 Knights
1 Poison Wisp
Please post here saying when an availible time for you to play would be?
(It'll probably be after Mith's Tourney. Gotta' wait my turn in line... hehe. :))
Also, chaperons that could help with this Tournament are greatly appreciated.

Well, now they don't have to pay for one for 3 months. OR, they can get a new account on another server. :)
So many uses Fry... so many uses. :)

I understand that.
I merely created this to let people know about it.
Like I said, I'll get all the kinks worked out once this thing gets running. :)

duo you should make a list of the participants in one of your first posts, that way people can easily see who joined and it will be easier if this thread gets really big :)

DL, I don't mean to pick on you, but I'm going to. Under your rules, this can be considered a turtle:
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/4461/notaturt5zb.png
The goal of a turtle is NOT to gain a setup advantage. Moving the stony forward, moving ranged units forward, stacking anything towards the front is gaining an advantage. Why call something a turt if all you're trying to do is rush?

because that's how things work,if that's the way you turtle, then so be it,but if your opponent knows how to defend then your screwed, your archers would go down so fast and then all you would have to do is frost whore or whatever...

i disagree with this "the goal of a turtle is NOT to gain a setup advantage"
that is far from true, the point of making different and good forms is to gain an advantage, i believe the goal of a turtle is to play more defensively instead of "muahaha i got first turn, killed your cleric, got all blocks and beat tha shit outta yoo"

If this were a true turtle tournament, it should be a defense, like monkus' rules. Otherwise you're rushing with stoned units..what is the defense in that?

Then I'm out.
Bullshit piece of shit rules. I hate all those rushing scumbags trying to get a setup advantage in a turtle game.
Turtling is not only about a setup. Turtling is about honor, turtling is about a certain way we want to play this game. We know the turtle is not the perfect setup, it's far from it, but it does allow player to play a certain way. In a way that out thinking and out concentrating your opponent will (mostly) win you the game.
Turtling is about playing with no setup advantage just to see who's better at this game by skill, who can out-think, out-concentrate the other. Of course every turtle is not the same, because every player is not the same. But we don't sit behind our little computer plotting on how to abuse the weaknesses of the turtle but still make our setup look remotely like a turtle - just to win some matches because you can't otherwise
Monkus, even though I don't like the guy (too sensitive), made some darn good rules to stop this bullshit, and I respect him for it.
