Tactics Core? An upgrade for TAO maybe!? [Archive]

What is Tactics Core? When you are in the login room with the 3 server pictures, on the bottom it says "2003 Digital Seed Entertainment" if you click on it, it brings to some game called "Tactics Core." It is a tactics game, it's not like TAO, it has better character animation and music and a better arena, but its REALLY hard and REALLY confusing, I like TAO better. But I was just curious, does anyone know what it is?

I do believe that what your looking at is the pre-quel to this game. But was changed into this because of what you said, too confusing, not being able to tell what unit does what and whose team its on

Tactics core was edition 1 of itself while TA is the 3rd evolution of the engine. It has different graphics and such because it was a standalone demo "to show the capabilities of the engine" as I believe old descriptions used to go.

Seed, the architect, made TC first... The first Tactics game he designed was quite naturally perfect. It was a work of art. Flawless. Sublime. A triumph only equaled by its monumental failure.

this is weird, tcd is a very old game, how could u guys just find out?
and ya, that demon girl thing, you get it once your healer is the only unit remaining
way better than tao clerics :D
some people say that you get confused because you have no idea which units are yours, but at the top right, it shows all your units and its amount of remaining life
i used to love this game, always trying to flawless it, finaly did it and stopped playing

Have any of you gotten the demon girl thing?

Let all your units die except the Mystical Healer. She will transform into the Daemon. She deals 9999 damage to a unit 4 spaces away.

I never have, but I read somewhere that its like a rare unit that you can randomly get... And apparently it kicks ass...

Heh... TC reminds me of TG. :(

Easy peasy lemon squeasy....

But the partially challenging part is killing all enemy units while losing none of your own. I've found about 5 ways to do it so far.

I'm gonna try it probably...

And yeah, steve thats pretty cool.... I have played it like probably 10 times total. The first and probably second times I got my ass kicked, but then I figured it out.
I dont think I have ever not lost a single unit, but I know I have lost like 1 or 2 at best.

TAO core got much better graphics.. but its solid i was freaked out, it made me wet my self XD jk
