Hello TAO forum members,

I'd like to take this chance to introduce myself. I'm CanadianShield, from (you guessed it) Canada. I've been playing TAO for about two weeks now, off and on. I play almost exclusively in the Great Lakes server. I enjoy talking to new people and helping out new players when I can. I like shooting down the angry kids in the Lobby when they fight. (Nothing like a battle of wits with an un-armed opponent). I like chatting with people during a battle, and trying to make favourable impressions on people. I enjoy playing the game for the strategy and challenge. I frown upon those who try and trick their way out when they're losing. (Try pushing F5! Free Cleric!) I dislike Gold members who feel the need to massacre greys who can't possibly put up a decent fight.

So that's a quick mini-bio on me. I hope to see you out there.

Drugs are bad, school's all done, and I can honestly say I've never tried licking frogs. I don't think we have the proper species up here that gives you the big buzz.

It's not frogs that you lick, it's toads. And welcome to TAO. Do drugs, drop out of school, and become a flower child.

Thank you for the welcomes everybody. It's nice to see that there is a good community once you get past the trolls and flamers in the game lobby :rolleyes:

By Canadian shield, you mean using Candians as human shields for us Americans, right? I like the idea.

No, I mean the Canadian Shield as that giant butt-kicking we laid down on the ol' US of A! :p In the history of armed conflicts between Canada and the US, we're 1 - 0! Face it, we're bigger and on top. In prison, the US would be our bitch :laugh:

The war of which I speak is the war of 1812. Long story short, US tries to invade and take over what will become Canada. British/Canadian forces push them back, and burn down the White House.

Ahh, I was so drunk I forgot to come back and post, dammit.

I figured you meant the War of 1812, and I had a prefectly good comeback for it, btu you kind of ruined it by pointing out the obvious. The British won the war, not the Canadians. Without British forces or influence, the Canadians had no reason to fight, or did we have any reason to invade. Why? Because Candians are nice, civil people, that's why we hate them :bigsmile: And considering we suckered the British out of our entire nation, I'd say the score was at best evened up by the War of 1812, although nothing really happened. We had to rebuild the White House, a few people died on both sides, and things went back to the way they were before. Stupid war if you look at it that way.

I'll give you the point that we haven't been in as many wars, but we get to the important ones first. *Cough*WWII*Cough*. How many years did it take the Yanks to get on board for that one? And we are a peaceful country for the most part. We don't invade others as a result of fabricated evidence.
