Gold without PayPal

If their was some way for greys to go gold without paypal, then TAO would be rich. So I had two ideas about how they could do that:

1. open a page of links: we visit and they get paid, if we vist enough they get five bucks. If they did that, we'd all be gold and they'd be rich

2. they host a survey. Most surveys pay 20 bucks a pop, so the could easily afford to make greys gold.

I'm new here, but I work making websites so I know these options are possible.

Being all gold would cause the servers to lag even more and well...us golds like the feeling of superiority. If everyone got a gold, then they'd have to make something extra. Bad idea.

Though I do think they should have mail-in orders again. I think that would be a good idea.

This has some bad assumptions too it...
TAO doesn't need to link people in from random sites, as is shown by the thousands that appear hear each month.

I don't understand the relevance of the survey thing at all. How would this help TAO in the slightest?

whats wrong with paypal?...everyone will say you have to have a credit card and thats not true you can also use a checking account...also just about every gas station sells those stupid prepaid visa cards so buy one for 20 bucks and prepay 4 months...hell i even got a 20 dollar visa gift card for getting landline phone service...

It's a good way for TAO to make money. However, I don't believe they should be giving out free gold accounts for that because it won't be as fun if everyone's gold. It's more fun when you can play grey vs. grey matches and gold vs. gold matches. Plus who will the noob golds feast on if there are no greys? LOL

it was a success, but I'd think it was more effort than it was worth considering the ease of use paypal has. Just an uncessary means to my mind.

Paypal sucks much more for those receiving the payments than those sending them.

And this idea sucks because pyramid schemes only work for those in the top levels. (and that is basically what "surveys" are)
As for Pay Per Click, you'd have more time and effort put into maintaining the system and tracking who got them than you would generate. There are 200k to 300k accounts created per month on TAO. Even if every person had 20 accounts, you are talking 10,000 people. To expect all of them to get the gold benefits would be unrealistic.
What TAO should be doing is bring back the Mail In payment system. They said many months ago now that they would be doing that, but so far no luck.
