2 seconds is not enough, especially when your on a good pc and do not get time to react at all (the only time I got to use it was when the server had soem BAD lag). It sucks being jumped by people with the starter formation and golds, especially if your trying to play someone specfici and you asked people not to jump you.
This is not the same as an accept/decline button, and I have read the sticky

The idea of the game is that you shouldn't really be able to set up who you play. But, just between you and me,... *glances around nervously*, just use F5. If someone jumps you that you don't wanna play, hit the button.

I think you've missed the point..you should never hit the lobby button, its not meant for you to do so. Extending it would indicate that there was an intention for players to do so.

Monkus: Whats wrong with choosing who you play? And this is gonna sound stupid but if I hit f5 quickly enough, do you think it'd exit the game without taking any points from me?

If I'm not meant to press it why is it there?

It's not meant to be there. It's only caused by lagging servers.

ok, again, missing the point, the button is there for golds to go to the lobby after a match is over, its not meant for players to be able to bail on a match once they see their opponents lineup.
That's just poor sportsmanship, and its a common tactic used by lousy players to find out their opponents setup before they really get into a match.
As exile said, the ability to leave is only caused by one player entering the arena faster than another because a player is lagging. The lag your attributing the lack of time is actually what gives you the ability to do it at all. Its not a programmed part of the game.
Again, its not intended for you to be able to bail on a match.
