It isn't very stupid, but you could've sent a PM. A referal is when someone new comes to the forums and they say you're the one that told you about them. They fill out a blank and put in the name of the referer. All referals do is say that you told people about the forums.

Yeah,but let's take Jeffery for example,he has 7 refferals...that's all it say's...it dosent do anything? :huh:

Well, I believe these forums are run by Vbulletin.

And some forums give extra rep or "cudos" to members who have high amounts of refferals.

As i understand it, the boards track your refferals but it is up to the ADMIN's how to use them, and here as of now they arent being used for anything so far as I can tell.

--Just a nice thing to have doesnthelp, but certainly doesnt heurt either.

They are for when you sign up to the forum , it will say "name the person who directed you here" when you type in their name.That person gets a referral.

i think i have 2 or 3 "unofficial" ones. i know ive told at least 6-7 people in-game about the forums, but i doubt many of them signed up, and i know they didnt say i referred them ^^

i should tell most of my clan about the forums just now they are getting into it (i m in the jiants) i could get many referrals from that

First, referrals = pretty much meaningless, kind of like comparing the size of your shoe.

lol I did too a while back. I looked at my profile and shat my pants. I thought it was a refferall to how many poeple asked for you to be banned:(
