These Ancient Guardians once swore to protect their masters, however once their masters perished they were left without purpose. Now these Guardians offer their services in battle, but still adhere to their code...

Name: Guardian
HP: 50
Armor: 30%
Power: 5/20 Blockable/15 Unblockable
Range: 1/1/4
Block: 75%
Movement: 2
Wait: 3 (2 Focus/Attack,1 Movement)

Standard Attack: The Guardian gives 10 health to an adjacent unit, the guardian loses 5 in health.

Focus Attack (Click and hold on Guardian): When a Guardian engages focus it boosts it's blocking to 100% to the front and 50% to the sides. The Guardian can still counter attack as normal.

A Guardian maintains focus until it is succesfully struck or moves.

Offensive Attacks:

Guardians may only become offensive under two condions:
1) Succesfully blocking an enemy attack.
2) If attacked by an unblockable attack.

If a Guardian is attacked by a unit on a square directly next and either of the above conditions is met then the guardian counters for 20 blockable damage.

If a Guardian is attacked by a unit on 2, 3 or 4 squares away and either of the above conditions is met then the guardian counters for 15 unblockable damage.

Note: Guardians cannot counter when poisoned, paralysed, protected by a barrier.

Please Note: If you feel the numbers need to be tweaked please make sensible suggestions, comments like under/overpowerd are useless unless you give me something to work with/a reason.

So the only usefulness to this unit is when it blocks? Seems like it would be fairly useless in battle...

Yes, and when in focus, a unit always has 0 blocking.

Plus an enemy would simply never attack it. Then it becomes useless.

Not very well thought out, I'm afraid.

Well, it Focuses on having better Blocking, which I don't have a problem with. However, blocking is this unit's only form of attack, so it doesn't really do very much for it...

I think it is a great idea, as it can be used infront line, to stop units from charging the front, you can also put it in between 2 knight and stop those pyros from attacking. I would also be good against assasins or even mud golems. You should make it that he has the defence ability, while in focus.... :D

Soda (damn, I can't call sodamoeba soda anymore)... no moron is going to attack this unit. It's just a dumb idea to do so. The only power this unit has is in the opposition making stupid moves like the one you just described, and relying on your opponent's stupidity is not always a good decision.

You are no relying on hi stupidity, you are forcing him to make the move he doesn't want to, because he has no other choice.

Added a primary 'attack'... This should encourage attacks upon it.

The main strength of the guardain lies near the end of the game, it must be defeated in order for the opposition to win.

Please Note: If you would prefer the health to drop to 5 Give, 5 Lose please say.

Sigh... this unit kills ITSELF when it attacks. It heals 2 less than the Cleric and doesn't harm the opponent. The heal is pathetically weak, and it slowly dies when it uses it. The "attack" is still useless, in the "endgame," all I have to do is walk around and ensure I get a back hit. Also, the method you just described is absolutely false. I would not attack this unit with a Pyro, nor would anybody with a brain. I would pound it to death with my Scouts or Freeze it first. Considering no units can attack in any way, shape, or form while frozen, there would be no defense against this, also, it would have 0% Blocking, so melee units could pound it with ease. This unit lacks any pizazz to assist it in surviving, and therefore lacks any use to any player.

I dont use pyro's, alot of good grays dont use pyro's, I dont use mudquake, you can hit somwhere else, with the new abbility its still like that, you dont have to attack it
