Bombers are often called 'Mad' due to their dangerous jobs, they are always carrying a pack of high explosives...

Name: Bomber
HP: 45
Armor: 20%
Power: see Bomb Stats
Range: 1
Block: 40%
Movement: 4
Wait: 1 (1 Attack/Detonate, 0 Movement)

The bomb has two attack methods:
1) Standard Attack: Place a single bomb on an adjacent square. (A maximum of four bombs per bomber can be placed on the map at any one time.)
2) Click and hold: Detonate All bombs placed by that bomber.
Note: Bombers cannot perform both attacks in a single move.

When a Bomber is destroyed there is a 50% it causes 20 Unblockable damge to the four adjacent squares.

BOMB STATS
Name: Bomb
HP: 5
Armor: 0%
Power: 30,20,10 (Unblockable)
Range: 3
Block: 0
Movement: 0

Bombs detonate in two ways:
1) Being destroyed by conventional methods e.g. fire, sword, arrow.
2) Using the bombers secondary attack.

When a bomb detonates it causes damage in a cross shape,
The 1st square causes 30 Unblockable damage,
The 2nd square causes 20 Unblockable damage,
The 3rd square causes 10 Unblockable damage,

Bombs can be used to create chain reactions by combining multiple allied/enemy bombs into chains. If a unit is between two bombs it suffers the total damage from each bomb (Either 50 or 60).

Use your imagination for the tactics, suicide, mine fields, traps, run and hit, hit and run, its all up to you.

stop making me do this (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20845), by reading and searching more carefully/at all.

The similarities arn't that much to the engineer in my opinion, or were you refering to the 'tech level' of the unit? If so bombs were around in the medis' normally they were used to bring down castle walls (either that or tunnelling / just good ol' ramming it with something heavy).

actually i was refering to the similarities. both are units which create bombs that act as seperate units and detonate on enemies...pretty similar.

anyhow, regardless of that, the bombs in this unit are really, really powerful. also, describe the attack pattern a bit better pls (diagram would be the best option).

These bombs do not (unfortunatly) act independant, either you or the opposition can detonate them by at will, either (ideally) at range or alternitavly using your engineers detonation attack.
This can be quite devistating as you may choose to detonate an enemy bomb directly after the unit places it. Critically injuring the unit.

The bombs are not designed hamper attacks but can be used for attacking, (although I feel you must be rather stupid (no offence) to stand ANYTHING directly between 2 high explosive devices...)

For one bomb the attack pattern is as follows.
E=Enemy
B=Bomb
X=Attack area
O=empty space

OOOXOOO
OOOXOOO
OOOXOOO
XXX BXXX
OOOXOOO
OOOXOOO
OOOXOOO

If an additonal bomb is on top of the explosion the two attacks are overlaid and they damage is combined.
As follows.

OOOXOOO
OOOXOOO
OOOXOOO
XXX BXXX
OOOXOOO
XXX BXXX
OOOXOOO
OOOXOOO
OOOXOOO

Note: Reduced attack power slightly

its a bit overpowered you could place bombs on the front line and be protected.also if a pyro or witch get right next to it there dead

A BIT overpowered?! I'm not a frequent reader of CaU, but even I can see that this is very overpowered. I mean, 30 unblockable damage for the first square? That would instantly kill any mage unit! Plus, this thing only has a wait of 1 turn! You said you could detonate right after placing, and that would critically injure the unit. It would, but anyone with half a brain would move and then attack, considering there's no wait for move, and thus the person has nothing to lose. Nice idea, but you'd have to do a lot of tweaking to make it fair.

yes, this unit is too powerful
with something like this, bombing will be encouraged =\

Your opinion doesn't matter in this case.:dry:
Besides, this isn't a very good unit anyway. The bomb can do massive damage. It's insane.
