Furgon's Girlfriend (not named yet)

This thread was stupidly initially titled "furgon's girlfriend." After some mild flaming and a few comments about the name and appearance of the unit, I decided to change the title in hopes that I could get a few opionions about this units FUNCTION. I don't care what this unit is called or looks like, although suggestions are welcome. I am more interested as to what people think of this unit in the arena, despite it's simplicity and unorigonality. Personally, I think this unit would ail what the majority of people in this forum complain about... "Cheap" and "lucky" tactics involving the GA and DSM. Instead of arranging "No GA/DSM" games and getting pissed off when people use forms that don't fit the "real definition of a turtle," why not solve/help that problem on the battlefield? The following was my initial post.


Purpose: An antirush unit designed to balance the game in favor of defenders, and give turtles a chance in a freestyle game. FG is especially adept at stopping a GA, slowing down a muddy, or killing a DSM/Pyro (with help) before it can attack.

Appearance: Looks like a female version of furgon but lighter in color and more arctic like.

Stats:
Power: 12
Range: Melee (1)
Movement: 3 or 4
Recovery: 2
HP: 48
Blocking: 50%
Armor: 0
Effect: If FG successfuly attacks a unit, that unit is paralysed for 2 turns (was debating if opposing unit should be paralysed or just immobile). This is not a focus attack. If the attack is blocked, or non-damaging the unit will not be paralysed.

if you want a unit to be taken seriously, give it a serious name....as it is, it looks like a fairly standard unit. not hugely original, but pretty balanced imo

You could call it the female furgon, but it still wouldn't be taken too seriously. This is basically like the "furgon upgrade :cool:" thread. It's just another attempt at trying to make an attacking furgon, which will never happen.

I suppose, but i'm not complaining about furgon. This is a different unit with an entirely different purpose. Just because she looks like furgon, doesn't mean she should be used like him.

Anyway, if you're going to create "a different unit with an entirely different purpose", then they should probably look a bit different. I mean, beastriders could have looked like modified knights, as could assasins - but uniqueness is nice. dare I even say, seek out your own uniquinous character!?

That's fine, I just thought that furgon looks pretty cool to have in a setup and a similar looking character wouldn't hurt. Maybe another asexual creature that looks like a polar bear or a porcupine (something that would explain the paralysis effect). I chose Furgon's health/blocking for this unit, making it not hard to kill, but not ridiculously easy either. As long as this unit has those, it could look like/be called anything. BTW what do you guys think about paralysis vs immobility? Would paralysis be too powerful?

Obviously furgons are into hairy chicks. But then again, they summon bush so that doesnt surprise me.

Also, would the presence of a furgon girlfriend on the same field as a furgon potentially distract the furgon?

LOL, didn't think about that. Maybe they could each recieve a small bonus to HP or armor if they are both on the same team, protecting eachother in a sense.

Or furgon's recovery will be +1 (since he is distracted) while she is on the field, and she gains something as a result.

I think the furgon should have a secondary attack known as "Pimp Smack" which would be used against the furgon's girlfriend if both are on the frield. The effect would be a gain in ego (HP recovery?) for the furgon. Also, the furgoness would "become less bitchy," therefore lowering the recovery time by one.
