Yahoo created cyber spiders which are collecting information from the world wide web in order to take over the Earth

yeah. i think that's how search engines operate. like google has that kind of thing going on too. just gathering information to put in their databases so that when you do a search, you find just about anything.

all search engines do Market Reaserch. They gather info on EVERY search you do and find out wich sort of stuff we prefer

Most probably a stupid question, but why is it called "Yahoo! Slurp Spider"?
I would of thought if it's not an actual member it would be called guest?

Also what quote Warcow?
"Still.
Always."
Or -
"Still afraid of the dark _______?"

The second one I would take a wild guess and say Pitch Black? Doubt I am right.

EDIT: If we get it wrong do we get a neg rep? O_o

The reason you can see the name, even thougbh it isn;t a member, is because most search engine spiders "announce" themselves to a forum, so that the owners can disallow them from indexing the site if they want to.

As for WHY it's named a "Slurp Spider"......

Because someone was bored?

Ahh yes now I remember the sister saying that. You couldn't of replied with "My name is Gladiator." It might not of made sense, but very few things do in this world... except tea, tea makes sense. Any way...

Thank you Jeffery for enlightening me. :D
