So this is a question I have had for a long time, and now i finally had the time to execute.

I know my mail man very well and after talking to him for some time he started DRIVING up the street. I followed, walking at a slow pace on the other side of the road. When we finally reached the end of the street, we ended at almost the exact same time. He was a little behind, due to stopping at the last house. Thought this was kinda interesting although I know it is pointless, but its been a question for me for quite some time and i just wanted to share.  :p

I think I did as well. However, I think he is concluding that the Mail man could deliver mail to every house in the same time it took him to walk by all those houses.

Did you also stop at each and every hpuse on your side of the street?

I followed, walking at a slow pace on the other side of the road.

So... your point is that mailmen could beat real men in a walking race?

no, what dirka said, that mail men can deliver just as fast by walking than by driving, however that driving is much more convinient.

where did driving factor in this, it seems to me you were both WALKING, this thread must have some secret underlying meaning to it, because I have no clue as to the point of this thread...

Your a dork, and I hope you bleed to death for wasting my time!

Like so many others before me I was expecting a thread proving how mailmen are far superior to normal men, but no!!! You just decided to walk while he drove his car! Pshh, go take a long walk off a short pier.

......And that, my friends, is why you don't do drugs.

Now, Faulty Logic, I don't understand the point to your story.

This is like all cutting edge research. 99% of the population isn't educated or interested enough to comprehend the experiment, or the results, so they have no interest in the subject. But it's that 1% who are your colleagues that honor your efforts by attempting to reproduce the same scientific results and carry on in other experiments. One day, when it has been determined delivering mail by walking instead of driving cures cancer, they will call it the "Faulty Logic Method". Although, I have to admit, your name doesn't really work when used as a name for a scientific procedure... Maybe we'll just have to start calling you Greg or something.

^^^ yea but matthew works too :) ;)

the point is that a mail man can diliver tha same amount of mail in the same amount of time by walking instead of driving...**think**oil prices.**think**

Okay wait.

First, unload the mail man's truck full of envelopes, dirty magazines and packages.

Then, load every single one onto your body in an easily accessable and organized fashion.

Now walk down every street in your area and pass out the mail. Be careful to avoid that big dog, or the really horny guy who sees the sheer amount of porn you're lugging around.

...Everything has a draw back, im just saying, park the truck, walk, then get back in the truck. Something that can be just as efficient.

I mean of course there are obvious pros to having the truck, but im just saying it takes the SAME amount of time to walk as it does to drive.
