So far both teams have gotten a homerun. Dye(Sox) put one away and so did Lamb(Houston). Clemens is looking a little shaky right now and Contreras is looking pretty solid. Everett(Sox) and Pierzynski(Sox) both scored this inning, making the Sox have a 3-1 lead.Astros tied the game with Biggio and err someone else coming in to tie the score. Rodney Rodriguez(Astros) switched in for Roger Clemens. Rodriguez pulls a runless inning and that's it for the third.

Top of the fourth brought nothing for the Astros. Crede(Sox) took Rodriguez and leaned the game 4-3. Top of the fifth and Contreras kept the Astros at bay. Bottom of the fifth and Astros came close to getting a grand slam rammed down there throat with Pierzysnki(17 Grand Slams) coming up after an intentional walk and only one out. A double kept the Sox from getting anything. Top of the sixth and Astros still haven't been able to tie the game. Qualls is going to replace Rodriguez(Astros) and keeps the Sox lead to 1 in the bottom of the sixth.

Top of the seventh and Contreras hits Bagwell for a second time, Contreras hits Ausmos as well. Astros were so close to getting the tying run but Crede keeps his defense stopping a grounder for the third out. Bottom of the seventh and still no change in score. Contreras goes out in the eighth and is replaced by Cotts. Cott is replaced by Jenks(Sox) in the top of the eighth. Cotts succesfully keeps Bagwell and Lamb from getting the leading runs in the top of the eighth. Bottom of the eighth and the Sox increase their lead to 5-3. Cott closes the game striking out 3/4 hitters.

Sox win 5-3 in game one of the World Series.

Man, I'm not watching it because the Cards aren't in it. I'm glad to say I got every part of it. :)

I have always thought that Clemens was losing it. So when I heard of his huge contract, I nearly crapped my pants. *nearly*. Then he was pretty good in the season, way better than his stats indicate. I mean, those Astros, couldn't score a single run. LOOK AT CLEMENS'S ERA! It's like 1.54! And he only won about 15 games? I mean what is up with that? If the Astros were to actually play offense, then he might be a Cy-Young Contender! Because of these facts, I'm going with the Sox. And because Houston beat St. Louis.
