Just signed up for the forums, thought I would post my form and ask for any ways it could be improved upon. LW blocks any cheap DMW from getting the cleric. One side can be defended by the furgon and the other is protected from close range attackers by the frostie, long range attacks deterred by both the scouts. All offensive units are stonied. This is a pretty versatile setup and Ive hardly ever lost with it.
I have never tried a picture before on a forum so if I am doing it wrong or something please tell me how to fix it.

You only have 4 attacking units. All of them are ranged, and can move pretty well, but have a long recovery time, meaning if I break your stone then your units are easy picking. Good idea with the furgon though your putting to much pressure on him to protect the front flank, which causes you to waste many turns.
Besides that its pretty good, then again i'm grey so thats all that I can point out without having to think too hard.
That's a solid turtle you've got. The only thing I'd do is move the furgon up 2 spaces so it can defend against oncoming units a little better. Nice job

I think it's safe to say the form is for turtle games.
You might want to consider a knight instead of Lightning ward, but either can work.

hmmm, match strike is right under some circumstances, but the Lward has good uses in turtles, because it deters scouts and such.
If you are primarily going to be playing turtles, if you move the furgy to be right behind the Lward now, and move the Lward 1 suare towards the middle, then swithc your cleric and stoney/cluster. that provides better saftey from he start, and a furgon for a front wall, and since your teleportation units are on the outside, your scouts can still move freely,

OK thanks for all the posts, positive and critical. I will try faulty logics switches and also match strikes suggestion, to see if I like them.

Umm faulty, that cleric is really exposed. Usually people try to protect them with a bit more than just a furgon. He doesn't have the attacking power to beat a rush with 4 units and no cleric.

the point banditto was if he was primarily playing turts, if he were to play a slew of rush also, then i agree. but he wants to play other turtles.
yeh, def a good classic furgy setup. personnaly i dont think lwards are usefull anymore(not relal cause of new units, rather because of new playing styles) but even saying that u can still rock it with that setup.
only thing id say is move the furgy up one so that u have some built in defence against double knight shots(i.e. so that u dont have to use furgon in the beggineng as much)
but saying that, thjat form is kinda made not for opposite side, yet doesnt have much power sooo it really is a form that makes u need to work to win.
but yeh, glads killer form that pwns me almost every time is pretty much that with a knight for lward and furgy up one

When I take the LW out I feel so exposed, its too easy for the other player to rush the front. I do like having the furgon up one or two spaces though.

trust me, as you get better, the Lward can be a valuable piece of your strategy, or you can for-go it for a mobile attack like a knight. Either way it just depends, a Lward up front can really slow down an attacker, but it hinders and reduces the amount of mobile damage dealers.

Well I definately do like the furgy up one, it allows me to get to the center of the board with him much quicker. I am okay with fewer mobile units, I prefer to just value each one alot more than others might and heal alot, I usually wait for them to come to me. I go many games losing only 1 or maybe 2 offensive units.
