I'd like to request a board be made spacificly for Graphic designs by the members of TAO. And the reason I'm requesting te name "Banners/Graphics" instead of just "Graphics", is so newbs wont be spamming general disscussion, or anywhere else looking for banners...
Currently we have one banner thread. at the beggining of this thread, there a list of people who design banners. I'm not sure about right now, but in the near future if this list continues to get updated, their will be no room for more designers to be added, and this may bother some people.
Also the Banners thread lacks the ability for people to show off their work properly, it lacks the ability to keep up with each and every request, and it lacks the ability to give tutorials, without having to search through the entire thread, which could be strenuous(sp?).
If we had a Board for all types off graphics, it would
- Cut down on spamming banner requests where they dont belong, because well... the site of the bold letters "Banners/Graphics", would get most peoples attension.
- Include tutorials on how to do these things, so people arent going to General Discussion, to see the banners part, then somehwere else to find the turorials for the banners part. we already have a couple, so don't expect these things won't get done.
- Allow people to post their Galleries of their work.
- make it easyer to keep track of all the many requests
- include one locked list of the designers, so we could include as many as needed.
- include basic instructions on how to request a banner, or other graphics having to do with TAO forums.
- allow us to offer more graphics, much easyer. Such as avatars, or TAO wallpapers ;)
I don't expect everybody to like this idea, because alot of people think banners are quote: "over-rated", or that graphics of the forumers don't have much to do with TAO, but keep in mind that every forum uses Banners and graphics, and they tend to be a big part of all forums, includeing this one.
