Developers,
Hi. How ya doing? I have a request. Please change "Floor 9" to "Floor 900" and only let people with stats 900 or above play there. This will make stats actually mean something, even for greys. It will also cut down on first turn surrenders just because the quitter didnt get a dream set up. As it is lots of people just shop around for mismatches and first turns so they can be a little tyrant in their sheltered little battle with their own inadequacies.
This simple change would really boost people's attention to their score. Also, it might make people think twice about win big/loose big set ups, like 4 pyro bombs and such. I feel it would return some strategy to the game, though I could be wrong.
Also, if or when you do expand, add a floor 1000, a floor 1100, and a floor 1200.
Oh, yeah, and this would also reduce the number of times a high point player has to sit through the excutiating first few games of players that have never played before. Nothing makes me want to claw my eyes out more than seeing a guy in a default setup accidently lightning ward himself and ask "where'd you get the monsters?" I know I'm in for a 1 hour battle.
If you are worried about noobs not having anyone to play, you could shut these high point floors down when the server population is low.
Thanks,
Caxtell
Check the suggestions thread, as that is where this belongs.
And please read the stickies first. This has been suggested before and is merely an annoyance to deal with multiple times.

Maybe you just shouldn't play greys, hm?
And yeah, everyone knows that having over 900 stats qualifies you as being a good player. I mean wow! 900 whole stats!

hehe i giot over 900 my first day
well i gotta say, when i played alot of grey for like a month, only thing i ever wanted was somethin like that. its a real bummer taking 10 min. to find a good over 1250 opponent, then u pick a floor, and u two just get jumped by some 750's.
it would be stellar if like 8 floor was 1000
floor 9 is 1200 with bottom right hand corner being 1400
but of course, this post should go to the trash bin....this has been braught up alot, kid just put it in the wrong spot

Dove, I am sorry for posting it in the wrong place.
Match Strike, I wasn't suggesting 900 was a lot of points. It's a place to start to clear out the riff raff. That's why I suggested additional floors.
As far as playing greys, they jump me. There are bad golds too, though. My point is it'd just be nice to have floors with slightly higher calibres and to have some people think twice before first turn bailouts. Even picking out an opponent you can get jumped, as Noda points out in his post.

Floor requirements have been suggested repeatedly.
Don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen.

i see what ur saying, all though this has come up before. Yes, it is annoying to have to noobs keep asking where the gold units came from and why i am never dis-connected against my will and blah blah blah. Exspecially since I never seem to have enough to\ime to finish one battle, so when I have to sit through those battles, i realize that I am surrendering to a noob who doesn't deserve this. Even though it is a good idea, Seed probably won't consider it though. If he was going to consider something, it would probably be new gold units. But still, it would be nice if this did actually happen. It would be a dream for golds to be able to play on Banff and Great Lakes and Army without having to worry about jumpers. But in the mean time, that is why we have revelations! If you are a gold, that is where you should go. If you are a grey, then you are going to have to not hold your breath for this to happen.

yup, it is a little harder here, but then again we golds like to jump the greys right after the wipes. he he he. just joking. The competition is harder here. We don't have many new people, just older people that don't want to upgrade. But I got to 850 in my first day. And I think Match Strike was just being sarcastic. But if he was not, then he is a big noob! Hee hee hee, no offense Match Strike, I just having a bit of funWhere do u play, Legends? Armegeddon? Banff? Great Lakes? Where do you play so I can tell everybody else that the competition is easier there! he he, just another joke! But I think this thread was not about how easy it is to get to 900. Can a mod or somebody like that move this thread to suggestions please!

Hehe, you're cool. Yeah I'm from Legends. This is what a day in Legends is like:
Partial Lag, Windy
48 degrees
Small chance of furgon drop and light showers
EDIT: Banditto, you seem to brag more than I do?

I got it in about 2-3 days.
This isn't a good suggestion. If anything, there should be a floor for golds, but they already have a whole server.

oh ya! I cool! he he. Yeah, I pop in on Legends and it seems to be a place where people like to talk, but no battle. But on one particular day there was a kid who sai he looked at Seed's folders and there was going to be a drop in ten minutes. But I waited in battle fifteen and there was none. But the poeple in Legends are good. But, Caxtell, don't hold your breath. It would be a great thing if Seed did decide on making the floors be about stats, but that would take a lot of work and a lot of server down time. It would be very complicated. I understand only a little about Flash HTMl, but it is very longa and very complicated. it would take a lot of Seed's time and it would take a long time and that means that there would be a long time in which people may not get to play on TAO, and when they do, it would be very confusing to see half a floor finished and...need I go on ??? My point is that it may be really hard and would make it so that a lot of people would stop playing totally or if he did one server at a time, the other servers would be filled to the brim. It is to complicated. Can a mod please lock this thread?!

I can never see this happening, a lot of coding needs doing to put this into effect.
