The Arcadian Legends are going to begin recruiting on Great Lakes. Anyone is open to tryout, as we aren't looking at stats, but for skill and a good attitude. Any current Arcadian Legends member, grey or gold, is able to try you out, and they will tell me their recommondation, with which I will probably agree with, but nonetheless, I have the final word on who is invited or not.

The account is Emperor. It is shared, Deepsea, Emperor, myself, and a few others have access to it, and I believe the clan was started by Deepsea. You'd have to get confirmation on this though.

I'm glad you're doing better than a clan that was dismissed on GL, so doesn't exist anymore, good job there. But we were first when we decided to end it. As for starting AL on army, did you get anyone's permission, such as Gryph's? if not, you bet i'll kick everyone of your asses.

Partially right, But It is easy to see that the pride still falls in a line between Ak, and AL, only the original members can see that. Nevertheless, anything that upholds part of AL, I will continue to lead till I decide enough is enough.

Ok, I think it is time to make this public like last time.
Al wants the best out of its members and as it is comming up on its one year anniversary very soon, our mastermind AmanHaran has come up with a great way to show it.

This is open for every member of AL, it is to show the small guys in the clan thet you are not forgotten.So here it is:

AL will be making a ranking system : here it is
RANKINGS:
the other goal of the training is to be able to reach a specific level of playing. if you are stuck in a situation the ability to come out on top will help you in the long run of your playing ability.
to help people reach these goals there are a series of tests, each test will get harder as you progress through the ranks, the ranks given through these tests have no actual impact in the servers of TAO, but you may wish to put them in your signature on the forums you visit as a bragging right of your accomplishments. The other point of displaying our rankings is to put fear into teh eyes of our enemies. Let them know you have accomplished great tasks.
there will be 3 levels of each area: freestyle, rush, and turtle. after passing a chosen area there will be 2 levels of inter-formation testing, you may, if you wish, travel down more than one path of the rankings. A generality says that if you prefer to turtle, you will be far better with a turtle than you will with a rush. HOWEVER, learning about all basic styles of play, including the ANTI-RUSH will help you improve in your chosen path.

Rush
Class C - use basic rushing tactics, know how to kill units effectively
Class B - be able to maneuver around basic defenses
Class A - be able to manipulate the units and set up an offensive defense, to help prevent your rushing opponent from destroying your own rush

Free Style
Class C - be able to use a variant formation to get the same affect, IE don't use the same rush that everyone you play against uses, make your own adjustments
Class B - use a creative formation, showing that you can use the units in a manner that breaks the mold of the general populace, come up with your own style to win
Class - be able to manipulate any situation to come out on top. If your opponent does a wierd move that puts you in a bind, find some way to use his own move to return the favor.

Turtle
Class C - be able to use your units to block LOS and create a nice barrier to protect other units
Class B - be able to continue your barrier if your units have dwindled in number, show that you know how to use the enchantress/frosty and use them effectively, which could be not at all if all goes well for you
Class A - be able to maneuver your own units and use their abilities to lure your opponent in and crush them, even if you only have one fighting unit left


After receiving all three classes in a chosen field the title of SOLDIER will be granted, the titles given in this paragraph are preliminary, open for input and may be changed to suit the needs of the clan's liking they will be negotiated later on. If a person continues on after soldier they may test against a field other than their own IE a turtle soldier may play against a Rush who will be test their ability to overcome the differing styles in the two formations. should they pass this test they will be granted the title of BATTLEMASTER. After BattleMaster they may test against a formation style that will not be known to them until the game starts. They must win this test proving a significant challenge to the tester showing abilities learned through levels of training. Should the testee pass this test they will be granted the title of LEGEND. for to show the knowledge and skills necessary to beat one of our own in a war game style match where no punches will be pulled, you are a legend among us. If someone travels down all three paths, the title of HARBINGER will be granted..

This is for the Coaches (you know who you are)
Coaching:

in order to best help people better themselves coaches need to have a few qualifications

1. level headed -- There cannot be any taunting of the people a coach is training, if you ridicule, the student gets frustrated and quits, WE DON'T WANT QUITTING. this also means you don't get mad when they manage to surpass your expectations and actually beat you.

2. don't pull too many punches -- if you always play at a much lower level that the person needs to play against to get better they aren't really learning anything. Don't make the game too tough on them, learn the kind of tactics that they struggle with and help them get better at it. if they need to learn LOS, work with them on LOS, set your units up to help them see the shots that are possible.

3. Offer advice -- when you have evaluated each game and the tactics they used, let them know what works, what doesn't, what is risky to try, and what they can do to use the tactics that fit them best. DO NOT just play game after game after game hoping that eventually they will just figure it out on their own, they came to you for help, and a continual beating doesn't help much.

4. Don't squash creativity -- if someone is trying to come up with a new formation, give them advice on it, do not just say "it sucks use mine" because not every formation works for everyone. I have tried to use many of Ed's formations, and they work for me for the most part, but i do best with some variation. REMEMBER, it is the creativity that wins battles, doing something your opponent doesn't expect will throw them off guard, and when so many of the other clans out there encourage everyone to use only the same formations, the fact you learn how to beat their formations and use a completely different formation from the rest of the mold gives us a better chance at beating them.

I'd really hate to put this one out there but

5. Don't train other clans -- i know it can be tempting to help that newbie out if he hasn't got a clue what's going on, but that's where the greys can be decieving, who is to say that the grey you are training isn't some gold from another clan hiding as a grey trying to get some inside info about our formations to learn how to beat them.

Well...I just couldnt deal with leading Arc anymore. I wanted to get my skills back, and knew my passions were always with AL. So...I didnt want to leave b.c I generally dont enjoy making decisions pissing others off...But I had like an hour talk with DD. and re-made AL.

You know, the purpose of wars is to settle a problem between clans that don't like one another. A LOT of your members are on my clan...and they would have to leave my clan if they want to fight us. Many of ya'll seem to like us.

I mean, if you want to fight us, sure...but please make sure that you're measuring the costs. No need to spill blood over nothing you know.

Personally, I've got no problem with the Legends ever since (three days ago) ya'll changed your name back to the original, honorable one. I was against the roots, formation and leadership of the Arcadians since day one.

Hence, if ya'll want to fight us, it would really have to be over some problem you guys have with us.

Well, doesn't look like this is going to happen anymore, as we became all buddy-buddy again, or maybe not that, but we don't dislike eachother anymore (I never disliked NJ, why I was in it on legends).

I saw it as more of a challenge, not an actual warring. I was going into it looking to have fun, but this new change of heart seems like it would kill all the fun that would have been had. Similar to your invincible-form-against-greys challenge.

I didn't think SI had any problems with NJ, but I don't claim to know much about that, you guys always seemed to respect eachother, and yet they still seem to be rallying against the NJ 12. Maybe there was bad blood there that is kept secret who knows. and X-factor are just noobs, they'll run into the NJ 12 like it's a brick wall and fall right on their asses. (Yeah x-factor, i'm calling you out!)

But anywho, my favorite thing about clans is having wars, but even I can see how this fun challenge, could turn sour and turn into a hate-filled war. So if you go the way of treating it as a war, I'm not going to challenge ya.
