Seed has legal rights to TAO, and Bills has the only legal ability to create servers for use of the game.

Unless you somehow managed to convince and pay for bothn AND cough up the several grand a month to run a Flash Server (which I didn't see any evidence of) your servers are in violation of legal copyright law. You can be sued for every penny you make running them, as well as a multitude of other nice things in the process.

Precisely, but TAO gaming doesn't have the rights to the game aside from making use of the sort used on these Servers. Bills has a setup with Seed where he gains rights to make use of the game on his servers.

Obviously we can't know the specifics of the deal, but given the costs involved, its doubtful he emailed Seed one day and said something "dude, I'm gonna use your game on some server of my own, 'zat cool?."

This of course excludes the costs of setting up a TAO server itself, even once the rights are established. This costs thousands of dollars each month (flash player liscence fees and service provider costs and all), and a hefty setup and broadband connection as well. Would someone spend that kind of money, go to all the effort...then spend 10 minutes making a half arsed site page like that?

Its a scam, through and through, and while it'll obviously be shut down fast, anyone who was stupid enough to give them money deserves to have it taken.

That's a good start. I agree with you completely though, you should have every right to know what your money is going to and what it is for COMPLETELY before you invest money into something. If it is as risky as this server (Which is sloppily constructed compared to it's older brothers, the FPS and the Legends) I would agree with you too. The fraud team should be able to help you out. Also note that they do not accept MAIL DONATIONS due to the reason "it is taxable". Isn't that odd to you? Seed accepts exactly 10 USD per letter and never mentioned anything to us... and I guess the creator of this server had a problem with letting anyone know where they lived, because it is a scam? This is deep... :dry:

Actually, Payments to TAO Gaming are subscriptions, not donations.

Either way, when you use paypal you have the right to dispute a payment, and if the person receiving it can not prove they gave you what you paid for, the money can be returned to the original person. (it's been done several times around here quite successfuly).

If you have been corresponding with anyone claiming to be Seed other than through my original digisoline email addresses, then you have been talking to a fake. Any sites offering units or claiming to be a new TAO server are fraud. Any copies of TAO they may be running are stolen and illegal. Protect yourselves and do not enter any of your personal information, TAO login or passwords, or Paypal login or passwords through those sites.

This is what was posted by Seed.

Tuff NEVER had permision for his server. The "Seed" people talked to on his server was just Tuff. The emails sent asking for money was Tuff scamming people.

Face it guys, Tuff pulled the woolo over your eyes.


Anyone who paid money should take the following steps.

1) Login to your Paypal account
2) Click on the tab on top named "Resolution Center"
3) Click on "File a Claim"
4) Click on "Continue"
5) Enter the Transaction ID for the payment to Artiface.
6) When it asks for Additional information, explain that the website you paid is an illegal site running stolen copyrighted materials.

At that point the money will be pilled from them, and until the dispute is settled, unavailable to both parties. At that point Paypal forces each side to prove it's case. If needed, give them Seed and Bills emails.

Now from what I can "gather" Bills apprently phoned Hazak to reset the digis site etc, wither or not this is true I honestly don't know.

As for Tuff hacking Legends or scamming us, why would he go out of his way to create the new legends website? Or for that matter work on units for TAO?

I don't know what is real, but until everything is sorted out the best course of action is not to upgrade on Artifice, because it could be that Hazak made the post on Legends, not Seed, because he does have access as the host.

Tuff is a fraud who likes to impersonate me, and people fall for it. He has NOTHING to do with TAO operations and development. Legends' new or old website has nothing to do with him, the new or old units have nothing to do with him. Heck I think his account on Legends was even locked ages ago. Anyone who ever signs up on any of his "test" servers are basically just giving him free passwords. I have no partners or helpers in TAO development, anyone who claims to be working with me is lying. Where on my website have you ever seen credits for any development work given to anyone else? Bill is the closest to a partnership that I have in terms of TAO. FPS has exclusive rights and license to run their own copy of TAO.

I do not know any of the owners of any other servers, they are not my friends. Any license grant, other than the one I have with FPS, is forged, and any sites running TAO other than digisonline.com or tacticsarena.com are illegal. Honestly... what makes you think I would show such a document to you or anyone?

So please, I hope people can stop being wishful for special attention (such as being invited to secret test servers) and falling for scams so easily. All legitimate work will be presented to the TAO community publicly. Tuff is a fraud who likes to impersonate me, and people fall for it. He has NOTHING to do with TAO operations and development. Legends' new or old website has nothing to do with him, the new or old units have nothing to do with him. Heck I think his account on Legends was even locked ages ago. Anyone who ever signs up on any of his "test" servers are basically just giving him free passwords. I have no partners or helpers in TAO development, anyone who claims to be working with me is lying. Where on my website have you ever seen credits for any development work given to anyone else? Bill is the closest to a partnership that I have in terms of TAO. FPS has exclusive rights and license to run their own copy of TAO.

I do not know any of the owners of any other servers, they are not my friends. Any license grant, other than the one I have with FPS, is forged, and any sites running TAO other than digisonline.com or tacticsarena.com are illegal. Honestly... what makes you think I would show such a document to you or anyone?

So please, I hope people can stop being wishful for special attention (such as being invited to secret test servers) and falling for scams so easily. All legitimate work will be presented to the TAO community publicly. I finally got around to looking at this artifice server homepage. Um...WHY would anyone give money to this thing, based on a page that gives no information at all? That front page tells you nothing about what you're paying for and gives you no contact info. Look at both Digis and tao pay pages. Contact info, safeguards, etc.

I'm glad some people, like Prophet, have been able to show some good sense and realize they were snookered. But others...think about it. The idea of something like TAO is to make money.

So the argument that "it's not publicized because the admins don't want a lot of people" is complete crap. The more people who sign up, the more money they get.
I know a lot of you think the world revolves around you, but in all probability, these mysterious admins did not buy bandwith / servers / whatever else is required, just to give the special few a private place to play.

That's the biggest load of bullshit ever, and I'm amazed that some people still can't see through it.

It seems reasonable to assume that it was Tuff and Gyration all along who were scamming people (including me). Affinity on the website mentioned about how he had owned the taoforums.com and had records about Yow hacking legends etc, so clearly it was Gyration.

Well, to me it seemed they had good intentions. Maybe they can work out some deal, I was leading the ranks too :(. It wouldn't be very hard, just the server and things to keep up. He was telling me that his server was free (no way) and his domain was 3$ a year.. hrd to believe..

They STOLE the flash code for TAO. By hacking it. The put the server up without permission. They violated American and Canadian laws in their actions. Why did they do it? To give people another server? NO

Sure, people were getting what they paid for. A lifetime account on the server. Too bad lifetime was a couple of days......
Was it a scam? Well, yes. Because they did not have the legal right to sell what they were selling.
And the first cimplete dumbass who claims they weren;t selling, but giving for a "donation" can go to hell once they read the laws a little bit.

Another note, they violated ICANN rules when they falsified registration information for their domain. For that the entire domain can be siezed and deleted.

Anyone who paid money should take the following steps.

1) Login to your Paypal account
2) Click on the tab on top named "Resolution Center"
3) Click on "File a Claim"
4) Click on "Continue"
5) Enter the Transaction ID for the payment to Artiface.
6) When it asks for Additional information, explain that the website you paid is an illegal site running stolen copyrighted materials.

At that point the money will be pilled from them, and until the dispute is settled, unavailable to both parties. At that point Paypal forces each side to prove it's case. If needed, give them Seed and Bills emails.

Letting the dragon be one unit really made things fun. For turtles, there was more of bite to it. And I swear, the pyro blocking on artifice was crazy...I was very hesitant to take a pyro frontal..no joke. Normally when I turtle, I tend not to use a dragon, useing a more defensive tactics, with the furgy and such, the dragon just has a little too much recovery.

Theres one thing I don't understand, when I sent a claims description on Paypal, the message I got back was this was neither a fraud or a scam, and that the website, donation account and server payments were legally registered....so that just opens up more questions that I don't get, of course paypal could be oblivious to the more "non-questions" that they don't always ask, but you'd think they would seeing as it's money and all.

Dear Jerk, I do see the problem, but you seem to think you're so smart when you were just stating the obvious. I had no problem with WHAT you said, but HOW you said it. As a passing thought, perhaps the reason why the creators of Artiface didn't want to publicize their server was because they didn't want Seed or Bills to find out about it (since neither of them endorsed the server). lol i find it terribly amusing that people say how bad TAO is simply because they balance the units against each other rather than player against player. any unit is fair balanced pvp. you would have soon gottten over the novelty of a single unit cost dragon and realized all you did was pay more money fro something. of course it was fun playing with crazy forms. 7 dragons and 3 DSMs? that was fun because you hadnt done it before. it was novel.
fighting is fun if you dont get hurt. a person who just fought his first fight and won with very minor injuries would love it. the guy who got his ass literally pounded into the ground would not.
my point is that its obvious that using any units you want would be fun. people try out lots of joke forms if they get enough drops. you are denied that here and that makes it even more fun. it gives you way more ways o play but ruins the original point of the game. in a game with units that had 78 or so power any unit is a one hit kill. if i kill your dragon first turn then you cant kill mine. luck becomes rampant and way more important thatn skill.

Anyway, here is something I wrote to a member of Legends, but it seems someone over here needs to read it too. :cool:

People making up stories about Hazak and Bills posting as Seed in the FPS forums and on digisonline site, that is just ridiculous. I'm not sure how old you are, but if you don't understand how the real world works, and what "credibility", "law", and "consequences" means, then you should just shut the hell up. That's just as bad as if someone started saying that since you are mysteriously made admin and such a strong supporter of Artifice, that you are one of the scammers posing as a satisfied user to prove they are "good" ?

Most people do NOT think you're associated with the culprits, but do you know what they think you are for believing so strongly in scammers? A sucker. Do you even know the real names of the people who own or run Artifice? Do you know where they live? What DO you know legitimate about them in fact? I already suggested that you have your password changed on Legends, because when you sign up on Artifice, whoever was in control of it can view all the passwords you entered there. However, your account isn't in any danger now since it's locked.

Finally, here are some simple facts for you to consider. They are FACTS, so it doesn't matter if you believe I am Seed or not.

1) Digis's license grant to FPS is EXCLUSIVE. This is information that was made public to everyone when tacticsarena.com was created. If you don't understand what that means, it means that it is not possible for Digis to sign any more license grants to any other companies.

2) Whenever you receive emails from this address or any others claiming to be Seed, you can open the friggin mail headers to see who the REAL sender is. If you don't even know how do that, don't go around claiming you can tell who the real or fake Seed is.

3) People who think they can recognize Seed by "-_-" are truly idiots.

Note: This email was condescending, because I honestly feel people who were involved with defaming mine, Hazak's, and Bill's names deserve it that way. And what for? To defend some anonymous people (or just "person", who knows?) who made you feel special? And this player's account was locked to be fixed because he supposedly lied to me about his hacked account and lost units as a ploy to trap me as an imposter... ?!??!!? o_O.....

As for this "Tuff" character...
I'm not going to bother saying anything other than for everyone to learn to check your mail headers if you receive unexpected emails from "me" or Artifice...

What.. now you want to say mail headers were compromised? So, I've been sending emails as myself, while compromising the mail headers in order to pretend that I'm an imposter of myself? WTF?! .. in other words, give it a rest.
