Recovery:7 turn wait per attack (edited)

weakness' : 1) cant be healed
2) counts as 3 units
3) takes up 4 squares


GOOD: 1) huge unit, so it can block projectiles
2) massive damage
3) massive health
4) takes up 4 squares


keep in mind!!! this unit cannot be healed!!!


thoughts

if played well, this unit could be a force to be reckoned with, but if played poorly, it'll just end up taking mass damage by long range units, like the archer. i made this because its just fun to play against, and play with. oh and the name is hilarious, say it out loud, MAMMOTH OF DOOOOOM! =]

ok, let the reviewing begin.

Overpowered, and might I suggest looking over the CAU Guidelines before posting one of these, it might help.

That name is pretty bad with "doom" in it.

The recovery for just moving should be 2 instead of 1 because the recovery for just moving is half the total recovery rounded down if possible.

Is the attack blockable?

I honestly can't think of 3 units that I would trade in for a unit like this.

Bottle knows all. Everytime some1 posts a unit, he's there to respond. We should give a "Being There Always" award. This is ok. As Bottle (the award winner in my mind) said, "theres a reason the highest H.P. in the game is 68 you know..". He is ABSOLUTELY correct. Maybe listen to Bottle. Bottle knows all. lol. What I like about this unit is it has under good "Takes up 4 squares" and under Bad "Takes up 4 squares".

Well, as said above, overpowered!

but the reason why i had it at such a high hp was because
it has no blocking, and it has low movement and 1 turn wait penalty, so by the time it gets to the other side, it'll be heavily damaged. 5 turn wait is a veeerry long wait. it cant be healed also, so thats a very big negative to balance out the 200. the 3 unit penalty is fairly large also. so thats 2 units worth of health, and its not really overpowered, if it rushes, theres alot of ways to stop it, turtling the right way, and then barrier warding.


(i cant even begin to imagine how times i healed my units, they must have all have like 200 health by the time im done.)

calculation (estimate) to kill the mammoth

knights - 14 times
witch - 12
archer - 17

5 turn wait, means 110 damage by knights

so that means, the mammoth would only deal 80 damage, where as the knights would deal 110, in the time given.

i might change the HP, but i think 300 is right, its weaknesses totally balances its god like health (anyone else have a better suggestion for health? 200?)

No. No unit will ever have more than 99 HP. The assassin bomb it meant to be an unblockable one-hit kill against all units.

Listen here. I think you should make the wait a little longer. The Enraged Furgon Attack is awsome. But it make the furgon wait six turns. The furgon has 48 life!!! Yours has 200 HP and 40 attack and it only has to wait five turns. I suggest u think ur units over a little more before you come and post about a unit with that. It's extremely overpowerd. Here's Some suggestions

Recovery:7 or 8
Health:100 (i'm not sure about this so ask Bottle, he knows all, or ask Cross Punisher, he knows alot too)
Armor:None
How many units it counts as:2 or 3 (most likely 3)

and thats about all i can think of. it Would make it alot better but it still isn't that good of a unit. Try to do Better Next time:)

try not to put health abouve 68, and dont units worth more than one unit as that makes it very hard to balance. especially for a new person.

Well, the feature of the unit is that has high HP but is slow and ponderous. However, I don't see how that would add any tactics to the game. Indeed, it can be easily avoided by simply keeping at least 3 spaces away from it.

Raise move to 2, reduce HP to 90, reduce recovery to 3 and reduce power to 28 blockable, and make it worth 2 units. I doubt a unit will ever have 3 unit cost. In fact, one unit with a doubler unit cost is enough.

Ironically, andy, the universally accepted best units in the CAU forum are ones that AREN'T worth 2 units.

The unit is ovewpoered anyways. 300 health. A unit will never have more than 99 health as someone already said. It has extreme power and takes up so much room. Have you modified it yet? I see no changes.

:) Even 99 health would be absurd if it didn't have a hell of alot of balance to back it up.
