Soul Linkers harness the power of the human mind to manipulate reality.

Soul Linker:
HP: 40
Power:-* Range: 3
Armor: 15
Blocking:-
Movement: 4
Recovery: (2*)3(4*)

*Special Ability: Soul and Mind Link:
The Soul Linker selects two units. The first unit is put in focus. The second gains this ability: Half of all damage dealt to this unit is dealt to the first Unit instead. Both units have the effect Link in the effect area. Wards and mages have different recoveries. Because wards aren't alive the link is made with the power stone inthe middle instead of the soul/mind. The Linker must channel more energy and thus needs more time to recover. Note: the lightning ward doesnt focus, but it does gain a 10 point power reduction. Mages have a link to other sources of power and thus a link with a mage requires less energy. Thus the Linker's recovery is less. Multiple links can be made to one unit in either direction.

Tactics: Linking a ranged unit with a knight farther back in your form, or even a stony allows it to live just a little longer. Also you can heal the damage more effectively as it is spread out. This could assist turtles in dealing with mages.

First to post:) good concept. It is good so far in my opinion. The special ability is really different which makes it better.

i was considering whether to just have both units take half from each hit on each, but it seems a little overpowered.

Yea, that sounds more reasonable.

it seems a bit overpowered though. you could still keep the unit in the back and protect it. then it would just serve to make damage less valueble. plus it might be unfair to allow units linked for the whole game. i dont really want the Linker to focus.

my suggestion is that both units gain the share dmg ability and you can put a cap to how many links can be made at any 1 point.

Eh too confusing to me so I can't give a honest oppinion. But from what I understand is the 2nd unit chosen stores half of all of the damage inflicted on the 2nd unit over in the 1st unit so only half of the damage gets through to the 2nd unit? If so, I don't really see the point in it besides the fact that you can keep one vital unit alive for longer, but in the end both units die in 2x the wait so I can't say it's helping much. Oh well, if I'm mistaken about this unit please correct me but this is my oppinion for now. Nice try though :)

I really like the idea, sounds awesome, and very different. but it does seem too overpowered. You could link the dragon to focus and take the damage and send in a knight or something powerful, could probably take out 2-4 guys depending on who you target and if you block/heal with cleric. But the idea is great

Swordz, the effectiveness of the cleric goes up. you can heal damage easier as it psreads it out. the first unit focuses and takes half the damage dealt to the second unit.
