berserker is out in legends, all golds, any recommendations regarding strategy? i supposed its special effect is good against high waiting low blocking monsters...(fighting dragon is fun). but the bererker is weak, 42 or so hp, 25% front block no armour. it gets killed too easiely to put in front lines. maybe a good endgame unit? leave opinions

Overall, that unit is pretty solid, I played about ten games with it, I find using it on a mud-golem is a killer moves. .considering that thing drags it recovery from 2, to from what I recall I think 6, Beserker mainly, what Im using it for is the slow moving units, it eliminates DT, muds, and GAs, only because if protected good enough, drags out recovery turns for them immensenly.
I wouldnt really recommend it in a rush, considering it low HP, but in turtle games, combine that with a furgon *drool*

Definately defensive... It's ability to fight a rush is beautiful, as it's paralysis attack, while blockable, requires no focus. Ranged units, beware. This is no wisp.

Whatever you do don't put it in a rush it pretty much sucks,I think the new unit would do good in a turtle,But in like 3 hits it's dead in a rush
I just news it,But it is still ok.

Yes the Beserker will be good in a turtle but not good in a rush.

this thing is awesome for scout kills, and attacking any units without blocking. and its effect on a dragon is amazing. it could stall the drago for 3 extra turns and do knight damage to it 3 imtes.
Woodland
12-03-2005, 06:13 AM
Yea against a dragon is great making it stall for longer so you can inflict more damage on the dragon plus it is a 1 turn recovery so you just keep hitting it from behind for a certain 1+ turn wait, and if the berserker is armored then it is harder to stop.

It looks very cool. But don't jugde a book by the cover,It's not that good when it comes to armor,In others words if you don't know how to news it,It's just a waste.42 hp (2 hits knight) (1 scout + Dark Witch) ect..
But i really like it in a turtle it rocks Freeze it with a frost need to keep hiting it and it can't move when your frost gets it.

wait, does the effect stack? if so, it's awesome...otherwise, it's good, but not great in my opinion.

12-03-2005, 09:19 AM
I believe on a succesful attack it only "paralyzes" them for the next turn. no focus.
A 1 turn frosty.
So no stacking, but use it ike this:
wisp
berserker
frgy.
berserker.

It seems like it can be great. However if you are playing someone that knows what they are doing I don't see it being successful without a stoney. It's definitely not something that will be successful charging into a battle.

it adds one wait time to the units current wait.
it can't stack because the wait is used up after your opponents next turn.

Imo the berzerker is a powerful golem/high turn recov unit killer.

i think this will be a really good unit, does the waiting unit still have full blocking?

12-03-2005, 11:43 AM
umm from what i hear it increases the wait time by 1 turn of 1 monster but you waste a turn doing that so it seems to me it is almost pointless but it would be nice if someone gave exectly how the atk works so i get what it does

Yes your right, WHEN IT COME TO FPS. When are we goign to get all the new things legends has, such as the new furgon attack or the new unit:confused: :(

Guys guys guys,
the attack effectively "stuns" the attacked unit on a succesful hit. Meaning if they are hit, they become "paralyzed fully" for 1 turn.
So there is no way for it to stack, and it doesnt only work on recovering units, in that sense there is no use for it on recovering units. It would be better to use on a unit that just lost its recovery, effectively making it wait 1 more turn, giving you time to:
a) finish off
b) wisp
c) furgy
d) freeze
e) heal
Use it on a muddy, knight, knight, berserker, then knight= dead muddy.
22*4 = 88
88-12= 76
Muddy = dead even with heal.
Muddy quakes. (wait 2 turn) 60 HP
Knight Muddy= 38 HP
opponent (muddy wait 1 turn)
knight Muddy= 16HP
opponenet heals(muddy at 0 recovery) Muddy= 28 HP
berserker Muddy= 6 HP
opponent (muddy has to wait 1 more turn)
knight Muddy= dead.
Dead muddy.

hhmmm
Well, no I haven't but a friend of mine told me it just paralyzes the unit for 1 turn.
So if a DT had 3 recovery, and you attacked it, it would get 4 recovery?
Match Strike

First thing I'll do when this unit comes here is make a no-mud freeze turt with wisp and Berserker. Furgy too, and an unarmored dragon, and, of course frost.
Conversely, in an aggressive turt, I might consider this as a replacement for a frost.
Megabyte
12-03-2005, 06:08 PM
And faulty, it does add 1 recovery. It's a "stun" not a paralyze.
my advice is to not rely on it for an anti-rush.
It's a delay tactic, and can be used very well all around if done properly. The people I've played against who try to use it with the wisp to actually stop my attacks just wasted 2 unit spots to cost me a few turns. They don't do damage, and are not a replacement for any attacking strategy or defensive proposition.
So again, don't rely on it, simply incorporate it into your existing strategies.

Well said.
I went to legends today, and played someone with it so I could see it in action. Looks like I have a perfect spot in my new turtle that has been missing that "something".
Guess I just got lucky this time around ;)

I played a couple golds with it on legends since im only gold on GL and rev. It is the perfect game ending piece. I had a knight a full Hp and some gold had a berserker at 42 . The Berserker destroyed my knight cause of that stunning move.

hmmm i dont know about how good the new unit is
I mean, its kind of like an injured mud golem. It cannot block, and it only has 42 health. However, the stun is cool.

oo i get it if your knight needs 1 more turn to recover but there whatever knight can atk and it has 17 life you want to use berserker to let yor knight kill it that is pretty good if you use it with wisp or any anyother unit it

The berserker would need a side hit to get a knight in a one on one battle, and a block of its own, I think... too late to do the math.
Anyways, the first and only time I played this thing (vs. ironhorse) it got a damn side block.
Still, he tried it in a rush for experimentation purposes, and I can definatively say that the front line is a terrible place for it. Not enough movement, and it doesn't have the armor, hp, or blocks to be an effective shield.

Yes it can block its blocking is 25% ,12% at the sides. It looks cool but its hard to use I play on Legands with it and well everyone has it as an avatar. I really dont like it.

The Berseker is weak.
In 2 hits he will probably die, unless you heal him... or even if you do.
I tried to put him in my setup in a back position, in order to use him at endgame... but it didn't work... still too weak.
I think it's a turtle unit only. If I give +30 armor to him, he can be moved more easily even a little bit out from the other units.
However, his use is still to kill units that come in my turtle... like dragons or mud golems...
"next turn i'll be able to use the mud golem and make a deadly mud-quake!"
"I use the Berserker... wait 1 turn"
"..."
"i freeze ur mud golem... wait 1 turn"
"i break focus!"
"i use the Berserker... wait 1 turn"
"..."
"i freeze again..."
actually, i think this unit's wonderful (estethically, also :P); i changed my form from rush to turtle due to this... now i am getting more stats than with previous form...

i agree that the unit itself is great for turtles, but not so good for rushes, its decent for taking out units approaching your turtle. In a rush this unit is a waste, it will die off to easy

Berserker is a VERY good unit when used right. If you play turts well, stone the berserker. If your not very good wiith turts, i suggest not using the berserker, unless your good and making the clerics heal every turn ;)
Edit: I concure with thinboy00.

The Berserker?
Well... What to say... I could say it rocks, but I'd be lying.
In a turtle it is a brilliant unit, thing is, for it to be effective, it needs to be armored. When armored this unit is near enough the best unit on the field if like any unit, you use it properly.
Whereas...
In a rush it is terrible. It's HP is simply too low and it has no armor. Though if you get a hit in a rush before its killed, it can be effective especially with the stun. It is a sure scout killer with the same power as the knight it takes 20 off the scout and you can easily come and take it out with a dragon or a knight. It's blocking is also simply not good enough for a rush at only 25% even at a front shot.
This unit is and was mainly designed to be a turtlers unit and not a rush.
Well that is my view on the Berserker.
I must add, I do use this unit my turtle setup and I have not found one flaw about it except the blocking percentage. It is perfect in a turtle as I have already made a point of.
Hope you find this somewhat useful.
