im always trying to learn to be like those people who have 1500 stats..but it just doesnt seem like the things in the guides work as well as they say out on the field. id be great if seed added battle notations that recorded your moves like in chess. that way i could save some of my own battles, and also see how the pros dish it out:D lol.

This should go in suggestions, or I misread this whole post.

Anyway, if you want a good form to play with to get to 1500 stats, try getting 7 chantys and 2 barrier wards... you can easily win by putting them all on the front line to paralyze the whole other team, and have a scout in the back to get you out of jams.

It's alright, you're new so you get some slack. Just try to get things right next time and you'll be fine.

First, find your flaws by PLAYING those people, not by watching their games. Second, don't listen to the chanty form thingy. Tried it, didn't work very well. Third, those amazing players who are at 1500 worked hard to get there, and learned a lot. It won't come quickly. Trust me. I might not be at 1500, but I know a thing or two. PM me sometime, I'll play you.

I believe that chanty form works awesomely if you know what you're doing with it. I'm not saying you didnt, but if you look at that chanty thread in here, it shows you the true power of the chanty form.

I agree it would be nice to be able to record moves in a game. However, practice against good players (I'd suggest finding a good clan so you don't get torn up all the time AND you can get better advise within a clan) and you'll adapt to playing them and develop your own style... then master your own style.

Ultimately, what being excellent comes down to is being able to play well within your own comfort. You're always going to be in some uncomfortable spots against good players... no one's exempt from that. But here's my biggest suggestion to you:

Find something you enjoy and get good at it. Become awesome with one tactic, and be able to fall back on that.

Build up your skill with a second way to play so that you can fall on that if the first isn't available because of form, skill, units, etc.

It'll get ya there ;) (http://img435.imageshack.us/img435/3284/dove1500stats3cf.jpg)
