What would it take [in reach of reality] that would make you happy?

This has been on my mind a lot lately, I'm graduating next year so my future is sort of a frequent thought these days.

Basically, I'm just curious as to what would be an ideal life that is reasonably achievable.

For me, I guess there are two paths I could ultimately take. Both are fairly similar except for one major sense. In both paths I'm going to have the same job, and that is to be a Sensei (hopefully by the time I'm nineteen) and run my own Kempo school.

The first path is I remain single and just go about my own dwellings in an extremely laid back life. Wake up at noon everyday since classes don't start until 4:00. Drive to work, then teach the kids with my assistant (she plays an important role in my second ideal) for a few hours, then run the adults into the ground. After that I could go out and do basically whatever I want for as late as I want since I'll never need to be up early. I couldn't ask for a lifestyle as relaxing as this. No college, no noisy kids, no demanding wife. All my money is mine, my house is mine, my car is mine. I would be on my own and content with my freedom.

I'll tell the alternative later. I want to hear others' first.

Sensei means teacher, I'm pretty sure.

First of all, I plan on getting my ass though High School without failing [Which, form the current looks of things, won't be too hard]. From there, I plan on sticking around on the island for a while and attending the Community College Math [Hopefully Calculus] and Computer Sciences and Programming classes. If I can get the money, I want to take some Programming and A.I. classes.

As a career, I want to either program and design Robots [Though this might not be so easy to do in this day and age], or design Video Games. Either would be fine by me, though I could think of a good deal of things I'd do if neither of these were possible.

It's a rank in Martial Arts. Most commonly SanDan (3rd Degree).

Hmmmmm, I'd have to say, open my own practice. Come home to the wife and kids every day, write a little in my study, sit by the fireplace with my dog, rinse and repeat.

Not too grand a dream, hopefully an achievable one.

I still have no clue what I'd like to do, but I have often thought about how I'll live after high school/college.

I'd want to live peacefully in maybe Vermont, or somewhere north of PA I think. I'd have a small home in the woods with noone to bother me. There would be a whole recording studio in my home, but other than that very simple. I'd be playing gigs every weekend with a band at bars and such. I don't know what I'd be doing for a living (job), but hopefully I'll figure that out later.
I can see myself being content with that. I don't want to be rich though, because then I feel I will lose my wants. If I have no feeling of want, I doubt will be happy.

i guess bliss is diff for everyone but my idea of it is just being content and happy with what youve got. as long as your not power hungry er something (which it doesnt sound like you are) thats not too hard to achieve. I still dont know whether or not ill get maried or go to college.
I think what i want to do is either go into the Marine Corps and then get married when i get out or just follow my dad and take his company later on. Marriage is an option in both. I just want to be happy and to me i guess i dont need money to do that (at least not alot neway :) ).

Firstly, I want to share my life with the person that means most to me, in more ways than I can comprehend.

I want to marry my beautiful girlfriend Bec. (Thats first)

We have quite a bit set out, and have planned quite a way. Total and absolute Bliss is hard to define..

.. That is, how can I possibly say what total bliss is if I haven't actually experienced it?

I hope it involves Bec, two kids, a nice house, my bike, and my car. In that order!

Aside from the lovey dovey stuff... Finish studies at University, become the Regional Manager for Woolworths Ltd, then have a Masters in Architecture and Engineering (not sure what sort of engineering, however. Possibly chemical or mechanical).

I've nearly achieved what I hope to be bliss. It'll be fun to see my life play out...

... Especially when I hold Bec's hand at the end of that aisle.

God I can't wait :)

What would mean bliss for my life?

Well, finish my study International Organisations and International relations, with some time spent studying in other countries. (Like I'm hoping to go to Canada next year, studying at Queen's university for a full year).
What would be completely sick is an internship at the UN, but that's pretty unlikely.

Afterwards I'm hoping to travel a few years through some countries while also doing some work there.

And in the end I'm hoping I'll end up in the UN in a development aid committee.

Well, that's my dream I'm hoping to fulfill, but yeah.. I'll probably end up homeless and addicted to all kinds of drugs. :)

When I look at my situation, I see potential. I think I cna do some kick ass stuff.

I either want to become a world=class physicist, or a philosopher. I know those two things seem so far apary form each other, but in reality, academia is a globe and they're both on the dark side.

I wanna go to MIT or Berkley...that would be cool. I ahve a friend who already attends MIT and he says with my grades, SAT, and activities, I can get in.

As for a family...well. I dunno, I just ahd all my plans scrubbed after my g/f of a year and a half and I split up...going in two different directions.
I know I want to have a wife and children, I just gotta meet her. I don't wanna say find her, cause you always find what you aren't lookin for, so I'm tryin to keep myself pretty open, we'll see I guess.

Don't focus on girls/women/your sexual preference.

Focus on the little things that make you happy. If a girl/woman/person of your sexual preference strolls along wanting to join in on making you happy, then by all means. But there's no reason to be dead-set on one path for the rest of your life.

Three things that I would like to do:

• Become an actor. So far, I have been in four plays and everyone knows that I'm a very sarcastic and outgoing person. If I had the choice between TV or movies, I would choose TV because it's a much more steady career in most aspects.

• Become a psychologist. Apart from being sarcastic, I'm also pretty understanding. People trust me (most of the time ;)), so this might be a nice job for me. You know, those couches that they get in their offices look quite comfy.

• Become a teacher. I'd like to focus all of my talents into teaching kids. Some of my favorite topics are English, math, and technology.

• Create a theme park! Well of course I'm going to be rich ;), so this will become a hobby of mine fairly soon.
