Quite the interesting theory you bring up here xerent.
I will study this new therom, and find its worth.

I respectfully disagree. Sucking can be a viable strategy in certain situations.

Ah, a contridictory!
On what boundries may sucking be a strategy at times, Realist?

Sucking can give you a psychological edge. By attacking my own lightning ward with a knight, my opponent may relax his guard and give me the edge.

Hmmm... interesting tactic.
I will investigate this as well...

Feigning sucking is not sucking. If you succeed in attaining your edge, you don't suck.

Okay, how about this. I played a dude, he sucked. I beat him to a bloody pulp, except he killed one unit out of my few attackers in my turt, in exchange for like 3-4 of his. Then, he frost whored me, almost to his victory. He sucked in most aspects of the game, but he kicked ass in frost whoring. If he didn't suck elsewhere, I wouldn't have been so stupid when it came to beating the frosty.
Sucking almost won him the game later on.

Sucking didn't win him the game.
You sucking almost as bad almost lost you the game.
Don't confuse the two.

I'm not happy with you Xerent, I read the thread by vinco or whatever and then had to go to work, but I saw the title of this one, and being a big fan of your units and such lead me to believe that this would likely be a well thought out thesis, and I get home after my 8 hour shift, and find this :(

It is well thought out.
In fact, it is so well thought out, I have taken dozens upon dozens of threads, evaluations of units, starting points, abstract concepts, and formation type discussions, and tirelessly worked it out to the most concise way of relaying the same information, to save you time and energy.

Okay, here's one, not exactly applicable but almost:
In an episode of some stupid TV show (I think it was about some like 12 year old genius or something), a computer program meant to beat people at chess malfunctions and loses a game simply because the person facing it doesn't play intelligently, but rather sucks. Therefore, in the perspective of that player, his sucking caused the malfunction and thus the victory is attributable only to the sucking. Before that, he had played strategically and was completely annihilated.
Or, what about in tennis? If you play badly, your opponent is more likely to make mistakes, because they have to take unusual shots and the ball isn't hit to them powerfully to return it well either. So sucking does help. I've lost games because of this.

That's because you suck.

I already said it once, and I'll say it again.
You don't win because you suck.
You win because your opponent sucked more.

What if I spend the whole time trying to figure out how to end my turn after I attack, and asking how to get a dragon, and my opponent just leaves in complete frustration?

Sucking can be great, it lures the opposition into a false sense of secruity.
