Can anyone tell me why the heck you are given such a unit as the Enchantress? I see it has a paralyzing spell, but is that all it can do? Also, in a game, someone mentioned to me about some special attack of the Assassin when it has under 5 HP left. Can someone answer me about these issues?

Thanks!

With all due respect.... you're a noob. As the enchantress is THE best grey unit in the game.

the enchantress can be a very usefull unit IF you know how to use it.....if not it is basically useless.....about the assasin i make it a point not to tell people that special ablility just cuz i dont think it should get around to much it should be left to the more experianced players but thats just me so im sure that someone will tell you....

The Enchantress is far from useless. In fact, some may consider this unit one of the best, depending on how they use it. This unit has won many, many games for me, and will help me win many many more.

EDIT: Look through the forums, and you will find some strategy guides on Enchantress use. *Try the stickies*
You should be able to find the assassin strategy as well.

I know It is my favorite piece in the game for its astouding endgame abilitys. Especialy there are forms with multiple chantys. Also I bet you didn't know this. If you paralyse all your opponents remaining units you win by default.

Yep, all it can do is render an entire team of units worthless, helpless, and indefensible. No point at all.

It's a strategic unit. You can't just use it forcefully, you have to use it tactfully. I, like everyone else, suggest reading some Enchantress strategies and trying to save her for endgame or for when "focus-breaking" units (which you'll also need to learn about) are dealt with.

That's what I do against 1,100 grey nubs with the standard form. Good times...

Enchantress standing at the back scares my melee and deters them from going too close without backup. It is good at end game when the opponent range are dead. Paralyzed units cannot block meaning that if they are not rescued in a turn or two, they will likely be in critical shape if there are no other good moves.

Basically, very deadly against melee without caster/scout/good support.

Assassin special: [utilise when it drops below 5 hp I think] Move it to wherever you want it to be, then click and hold the square it is standing on till it changes colour, release and it will explode, doing 99 damage to its 4 sides.

Just search for the specials, there's a furgon one as well. I read about them in the forums.

ps: The stickies are good reading.

Ok, let me hit you with some knoledge :)

First off, if the assasin is under 5 health, hold the square she is standing on for 3 secodns and release, she hits 99 to herself, and everyone around her from one square away.

AND ARE YOU INSANE?!?!? Dude, the enchantress was my favorite unit before my new formation. Luring thier last knights over and paralyzing them, then they brought in more units to save the knight, and they would get paralyzed to. Hell, I might just put my chanty back in my formation.

to me the chanty is useless. And the best grey units by the way is the knights and cleric.

Wrong. The knights are useful and the only things capable of really stopping knights in grey no drops besides other knights are chanties. They rank for greys in the top 3 most useful units definately and if a multi-choice poll was made it would prove it too. In my opinion the top 3 units for a grey are the cleric - self explanatory, the chanty - it pwns, and the scout - to stop chanty

my 3 most vauluable grey units are probally Cleric- Because his robes turn me on, the barrier ward- Get to that next unit, and the scout- To pick off magic units and if they try to mage bomb him, the barrier ward comes in. The scout is the key to my stratagy. He always takes out the magic units from afar, then they come in closer and my witches take them out. But without my ward, he would be dead so fast. But those are the three best units for my stratagy.

I never thought much of enchanteress when I first started playing. When I see my opponent has one, I think to myself, an easy kill there...until I met someone who could actually use her :( . Now I can't live without her :D .

The chanty is the stereotypical woman. She lures you in and won't let you go till she's dead. One of my favorite units since I read the nads strategy guide.

chanty basic strategy that I use:
Once ranged units are gone retreat reamaining units semi near chanty freeze yours and your opponents units then if they go after the chanty use b ward then they have to make another trop to the b ward. if they go after your frozen unit then b ward any way, heal, do something else the freeze again This strategy works even better if you have multiple chantys. I practice alot and I have a 12-0 record with my grey chanty form :) Those of you who don't think the chanty is useful guess who wins chanty vs dragon. there are so many uses. Here are my 10 favorite:)
1) to stall
2) to finish off the game by winning default
3) luring with b ward
4)tag team paralysis with other chantys
5)tag team paralysis and attack with chanty and attacking unit.
6)absorb attack- heal -freeze method
7)box in the chanty with paralysed units and close the door by moving you piece on the open end(has won many games for me)
8)guarding the clerics exposed flank in an anti
9)lightning ward combo absorb attack -lightning-freeze-bward,attack,heal or attack.
10)create a barrier with attack units and combo up with frosty to guard the frostys flank.
