Okay, This is about Luck in my last two battles so first im playing Raven Stone a gold on army. In the game i start owning him, and now the unit kill is about like 7-4
So i go for his knight (side) he gets a life saving block, next turn , i go for his scout (Side) block.. then he goes for my knight frontal, gets it. Then next turn, he gets another frontal (on my scout) later After he kills both my scouts by frontals. -.- So now i have 2 knights , a frosty,a cleric, muddy.. To sum it up he got like 6 frontals in a row, and i didnt get a single Side shot (1/5)

Second Example: Yesterday vs Matt 34.5 (Dowerboi) i first got his scout to 14 with my dragon then for the next 3 turns i was trying to hit it from the side, it blocked all of them. Im f*cking pissed of this, Its like they're hacking the system.. HAx0R$...

I did get lucky... and I did it again today against a 1500 + gold. usualy when the other players a good sport about it, I'd give them the game, but you left right in the beggining, and seemed pretty pissed. The other guy didnt seem to care he was loseing.
Luck isn't my fault... So not that you did, and Im not saying you do, but don't expect me to get upset for being lucky against you. Personaly I think based on the sets, I had an advantage with or without luck, though your probably a better player than me. I'd be glad to give you a rematch. If you ever wanna jump me check floor 5, Im always there. :) except on rare occasions when people challenge me to a diffrent floor and I accept...

If you get 2 knight side blocks. THen the next hit is 100% wether its a frontal on a knight. So it was probably lag.

Knowing Dowerboi, he probably did hack. He does it all the time. You know he did it because he didn't even deny it in his reply! :p

Wow, just today this is sad. i was playing this one MI6 gold, i was attempting to hit his scout from the side (his scout was at 15) blocked it next turn , i tried to hit his other scout from the side, blocked..

Then again today vs Noobslayer88 he bombed my anti-rush, i was about to kill his dsm after he bombed me, he had 2 pyros, so his dsm was at 12 n i tried hitting it with my knight from the side block, then i tried hitting it with my other scout from the side and guess what, it blocked. this is extremely pissing me off, like wtf, how is this happening to me, every game.

Edit: Sorry matt, i was really mad but thanks for offering a rematch ill look for you.

lol i had the same problem with luck when i was in the 1400's. I would just break 1500, then i would be plagued with the worst luck imaginable. And would lose to 1000-1200 ranked players when they get a bunch of game saving blocks. I broke 1500 6 times and then would get dropped back below again by bad luck. And not by a little. I would end up dropping 50-80 stats in one day, with one bad luck loss after another. Its not that i mind losing. I dont mind if i get outplayed and lose. Because its something i can learn from. But it just grinds my gears when i lose due to crappy luck.

everyone has bad luck and everyone has to deal with it their own way. i'm sure you've had horrible luck but i'm also sure at the same time you've got insane luck going your way too. i can sympathise with you though since you were dominating till luck turned it against you and that it often turn good skillful games into bad ones.

However ultimately you must still accept the loss for what it is and move on otherwise the anger just builds and makes the next game worse. For example i got grey jumped yesterday and was dominating had a unstoppable 3-4 move combination which would've almost guaranteed a victory except the first turn required him not to get a dmw side block which he did. Since i got dead pissed i couldn't concentrate on the next game and could only think of the bad luck i got before and lost a game i should've won which made me angrier.

Thats when i followed an old rule i made an immediately stopped playing tao for the day.

To draw:

Skill+Luck of player=Skill + Luck of opponent

To win:

Skill+Luck of player>Skill + Luck of opponent

Therefore if:

If Player Luck<Opponent Luck, Player Skill>Opponent Skill to win.

So play better and win.

That is true, but in some cases your opponents luck outweighs there skill and your luck put together leaving you with no chance to use your skill to actually win..

Luck should only make a difference when your abilities are close. A vet will not lose to a noob because they got lucky.

Best way to avoid unluckiness: Use certainties. Back attacks, paralysation, poison and unblockable attacks. Its also helps if you put your units out of harms way so they cant sit there and die with no blocking.

Thats not really true. Vets yes, are good. But, Noobs they got there bombs, frontline rushes, if a vet gets unlucky in one of those games..Then the Vet may unfortunatley lose.

dude one day i was at 1563 on GL, i then won half my games and still went down 70 points i still havent recovered. 8 months later(today) i finally went and got the 37 stat i needed to get to 1600. (my 1563 put me in 13th at the time.) i had the best luck in the game before the switch to stat and now its sucks. especially on DSMs. luck can be a big factor in frontline rushes and especially bombs. even being 2 times as good doesnt necessarily garauntee a win.

I agree. I don't think luck plays a HUGE role in a game. People always make a big deal about luck when they lose. Honestly, i don't think its that bad. People sometimes also go beyond what actually happened. Wow a few side blocks...who cares....you'll get your share of luck eventually. Luck shouldn't change the game around dramatically, unless your playing against a bomber. The only frustrating thing about luck for me, is when someone that bombs gets really lucky with the DSM....then it gets annoying.

Noobslayer88 grey jumps. He also was suposedly caught admiting to boosting. And I think you maybye overexagerating a lil it is very unlikley, but hey after your bad luck is over you will get good luck coming your way, it happens to me all the time. good luck:)

lol renegade i remember that game. i made a stupid play in the begining that gave u the lead early. i will say that i had more than my fair share of blocks, and i honestly did not expect all those frontals to hit. however luck is a major part of my strategy, which of course makes it flawed; which is in turn the reason i can't stay over 1300, but i have digressed. as i was saying, from my experience in the game, luck is somewhat predictable. let me give u an example, in most cases when u have both scouts attack the knight for a frontal the knight will block the 2 scouts attacks, but if u charge the same knight right with a knight and go for the frontal more times than not u will get the hit. i will admit i was OVERLY LUCKY in our game, and even with the luck that was on my side i was still preparing myself to suck up defeat. just some words of advice, and i'm sure u realized this by now, wait till the battles over before u start to make a thread. the timer is no one's friend. Good luck with ur games in the future, especially those against me.
More time than not luck will save you if your will holds out~ a qoute i heard from a gamer, i wanna say it was TBK but i'm not 100% sure.
