Welcome to Thash (me)’s first EVER battle report and probably my LAST.
Battle Report format: Similar to John Jay and Mithrandir’s guidelines (?)
1st battle: against a SI grey on Great Lakes named Eldrad.
Introduction:
Names:
Eldrad: a SI grey with about 1403 stats on GL.
USB-port: That’s me. ^_^. My stats=813.
Starting positions: An opposite side grey game.
I don’t have the starting setups so I will just describe them.
S/s: http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/9065/br17sv.jpg
This is about halfway/near end of the match.
His units: regular grey units. No drops.
My units: No drops, standard grey units. The only difference is that he uses a chanty and I use a pyro.
Similarities: Same type of grey sets. LW and knights in front with witch and scout in the back.
Analysis
Beginning: He went on early offense and rushed me with a scout and knight from the side while he puts his other units in the middle of the field. With some luck (more side hits), I pushed him back to his side.
Middle: a stalemate where we just attack and retreat with our units.
End: he again went on the offense but this time without his scout, which was injured. He attacked me with 2 knights and assassin. He managed to rush near my cleric with a knight because I left a loophole. I trapped his knight with my knights and scout and I attempted back hits and pyro hits on his lonely knight. His knight’s HP was 5 and my pyro was at about 10 something. He missed a front pyro hit, which would have killed my pyro with his knight and then I finished his knight off with my injured pyro. While I was trying to recover, he again rushed me with a scout, assassin, witch and a knight. I forced his scout to about 20 something HPs. He BWed his witch but in the next few turns, I killed his witch and scout with my pyro but I also killed my assassin at the same time (2 for 1 trade).
He then tries to front hit my 18HP scout from the front with his knight but my scout blocked. I retreated my scout to safety and then he surrendered.
Conclusion:
Very good game, Eldrad. One of the best grey games I have ever played and also my first time against a SI grey.
I think this should do the trick....
