Guy walked in the way, and Cheney was completely liscensed.
Also, the guy is still alive and fine.

What's more embarrissing? That he shot that guy in the face or how he actually goes hunting?

Wrong. Cheney accidentally paid his more general hunting license twice, but not his license to hunt quails specifically. In the end, it cost him an additional 18 dollars (25 for the general, 7 for the quail part)

Yeah, it was a friend. No he wasn't completely liscensed as O_S pointed out. Yes the title is a referrence to a Rage Against The Machine song.
Yeah, it's pretty funny. Unless the guy dies. Then it's sad.
Still, maybe if he hadn't gotten 5 defferments from serving in Vietnam he might know how to shoot better. OK, I was making a political jab with that last one. Watcha gonna do, shoot me?

1) Cheney did NOT have an Upland Bird Stamp, and hence was NOT legally hunting.
2) Cheney was sited because it is the SHOOTER who is responsable for making sure his shot line is clear.
3) The "guy' had a heart attack, and was moved back to intensive care. A bb moved over and against his heart, triggering the attack. I would not call that "fine".

According to some comedian:
'Its okay Dick, we know you need to shed innocent blood every 5 years to maintain your deal with the devil.'

Leno said that this proves that Cheney has the worst aim of any government official since Clinton. :p
And I might be in the minority on this, but I think that shooting people is wrong.
1)What do you think he was doing trying to save $7 dollars or more likely just made an error? Your inference is rather absurd.
2)Obviouly you have never been bird hunting since you don't seem to understand...nor do we have all the details either. The hunting party is to remain behing the blind while they are hunting. One report stated that his friend stepped out from behind the blind...so therefore both are at fault. Kind of like if you step out in front of a moving car because you are being careless the driver of the vehicle is only partly responsible.
3) He had a mild heart attack caused by the bb...and he is 78 years old.
