This is my first unit for...quite some time. I feel that this is pretty original, but if you know of something like it, tell me and I'll....well....I'll think of that when it happens.
Powerful warriors that have demonstrated a cool, thinking brain in the midst of battle are sometimes chosen to bear the army's standard into battle. Imposing and charismatic, Standard Bearers are bedecked in splendid armour that's sheen can be picted out from across the battlefield. Toting vicious gold-embossed longswords, a Standard Bearer is a pillar of courage and power that can be felt by all.
But though their equipment is striking to behold, it generally ends up sacrificing quality for splendor.
Standard Bearer (human fighter): A Knight bearing a flowing battle standard and dressed in gold and red armour (the standard is in team colour).
HP: 43
Power: 19
Armour: 18
Blocking: 36%, 18% from the sides (note that blocks are made with the sword; it would be unsightly for the standard itself to block attacks)
Movement: 3
Recovery: 1
Attack range: A powerful thrust with the same range as a Knight's attack.
Special Ability: Invigorate
The sight of a Standard Bearer bolsters the strength and courage of allies in battle. Any unit on a square touching the Standard Bearer's (including diagnals) gains a 15% power boost (this only applies if the unit has an attack power to begin with, and does not apply to focus damage such as the Poison Wisp).
Invigorate does not apply to wards nor does it apply to the arrogant Dragon Tyrant, who would never sink so low as to accept orders from a human. Isn't it enough that the beast is fighting for you?
And that is all for now. Any questions, comments, suggestions, random messages, flames, compliments, and criticism welcomed.
