My first battle report.....

http://img58.imageshack.us/my.php?image=myset7hk.jpg <<< My set
http://img58.imageshack.us/my.php?image=roughlywolfysset8dr.jpg <<< Woflys set roughly (same units possible different knight and furgy position).

Me and wolfy had a turtle game. Old school of course. I thought i better play him this time as the last 2 times ive been genuinely busy. At first he thought i was geeky due to something i said but that little mistake was sorted quickly lol.

Sets are shown above. We were same side. I got first turn and armoured. He armoured aswell. I moved up my wall scout and shot his muddy. In return, he moved forward and hit my BR in the front(Important). My BR then moved out of my stone cluster and attacked his mud and dragon. He used Knight to get a back hit. I healed and ran him off. Then i proceeded to weaken his mud until it came down to one hit kill. I had been detoned and my BR was on 13 HP. He took a scout front shot to kill, my BR blocked. (This was why the first hit mattered). With his other scout perched for the near certain kill now, i decided that my BR was a worthy trade for his muddy. He had also been shooting my frosty alot, i swear i didnt block one arrow!

In the next section, i destoned him and advanced knights for scout or drag kills. I weakened the dragon alot. I got 1 hit on an unarmoured scout out of 3 side attacks. Didnt really matter though. With some clever positioning, wolfy retreated his drag to safety and armoured his scouts and knight. Meanwhile, one of my knights got paralysed. Things started to look bleak for me. I used a knight to start attacking one of his armoured scouts on the side. I landed a hit. (This was the same scout that id hit earlier but he was now armoured and healed). I used my unarmoured scout to land another side hit on his scout. Bringing him close ot death. After a few turns he had the choice of healing his scout or side hit to kill my scout. He healed. I attacked with scout on side shot, it missed. He then killed my scout. I managed to kill the socut with a knight side and scout side hit.

This gives: wolfy: Stone, Cleric, Knight, Scout, Drag, Frosty and Furgy
Me: 3 Knights ( One paralysed in wolfys area and two fine), Scout (Very injured), Weak Frosty, Stone, Cleric and Furgy

Up till then, furgys hadnt done too much, then wolfy used his ALOT. He went after my paralysed knight so i went offense with my 2 knights. At this point i was healing alot and recovered by scout and frosty to decent HP whilst keeping my paralysedd stuff alive long enough so i could kill his knight (which i had paralysed and blocking in his scout. I got bogged down alot but managed to do a poor trade of his knight for my paralysed knight and another knight. My remaining knight ran away hacking bushes as he went, narrowly evading the frozen death.

Now: Wolfy: Stone, Cleric, Drag, Scout, Frosty and Furgy.
Me: Stone, Cleric, Knight, Scout, Frosty and furgy.

We both armoured (He armoured drag, scout and frost/I armoured knight, scout, frosty and furgy) and healed up. He then started sniping certain shrubs so he could get to me. He was also advancing his frost. I moved carefully trying to ensure i couldnt get frozen. He paralysed my frost ( i let him) then i sniped his frost. He then sent in his dragon. This was very tense as it was right in my face. I then retreated back and froze his drag. He froze my scout. I then used my knight to start hitting his armoured dragon and my furgon to stop him hitting my scout. He then shot a bush and froze my frosty. I shot his frost with my now free scout. His dragon retreated. My knight advanced and started attacking his frost, which i paralysed safely. He starting trying to get my rather stranded knight. Ive never seen an armoured knight get shot in the front so often. (It wasnt actually too bad, he hit maybe 4 times total throughout the game, but he only took front shots for safety). I then killed his frost. His furgy shrubbed my exposed flank in comleptely and worked his way back round to try to force the draw. Once i had healed, i started to advance my units. He shrubbed himself in and i paralysed his Stony ready to start chipping away at it in safety. At this point, wolfy surrendered. Because i had a clear advantage and it would of just been a matter of time.

A small side note. At the beginning of the game, wolfy believed i would be in trouble becaue i didnt have a muddy to counter his furgy.

Very good game wolfy, you played better than you did the first time i played you and you were off form. I now dont wish to play you because a 2-0 record looks quite good :p

For me this game was very tense as i couldnt get rid of all his range so i was always having to keep an eye on LOS shots.

Great Game wolfy.

Dape, unless im mistaken, Me and wolfy (certainly wolfy) are better turtlers than you. I dont mean this offensively but do you really think we're stupid? Also, My same side turts usually do fine without armour.

I said certainly wolfy. Not me, i was implying that im not the worst turtler ever. Also, as far as im aware, you arent renown for your turtling skills, unlike wolfy.

I dont know i can beat you. I dont know wolfy can beat you. I apologise for making a comment that you seem to have taken offense at despite that the fact said that no offense was meant.

Both of those sets are really good actually... Very similar to the ones I use. Perhaps wolfman doesn't like that you're showing everybody his though?

I did ask him if i could post this report or not and he said it was ok. The form i used is highly experimental but works ok apparently. Also, the set i showed of wolfys, i cant actually remember if its correct or not lol.

Yeah, but most of us try not to say anything. *cough* :p

But uh, on the advice of my conscience, I'd just like to say that wolf is a great turtler, a much better turt than I'll ever be anyway. ;)

Nice win Exe.

Good win and nice job putting dape in his place, but I am absolutely astounded that you won with that awful set. Wolfy must have been really, really off of his game to lose to that. But hey, a win's a win.

Does anyone else find it funny that he said: "Not very good if:" then listed a list of, well, 10 moves...about...

If you plan your turtle game for the first 10 moves before hand, you must really suck at turtles.

Dape is good, its just easy to derail his gameplan with 1 set of moves :D
