So I log on to Rev and ask for a turt game. Carloso agrees and challenges me... what do I get but a nice frontline rush/bomb. He sucked so bad I ended up beating him (surrendered). I was pissed but I let it go.

I'm back in the lobby asking for another turt when I get a challenge from Forest_Archer who I just played yesterday and lost to - was a good battle but I moved my muddy into a LoS blocking position that I could have moved my knight into - that cost me my muddy and who knows if I'd have even won anyways. Thats not the problem - I respect getting beat when I learn something... it really makes it stick. So when he challenges me today I thought about changing my formation to better suit his double frost setup - but I figured he wanted a rematch and thought that would be dishonest so I left it. I accept his challenge and look at the minor changes he has made from a double frost turtle to this:

This is getting rediculous. I cant just put my self on the board anymore because I know every noob and their dog are running bombs so I am left to ask for turts and/or no DSM games in the lobby. TWICE in a row I get bombed. WTF is this, especially from you Forest_Archer. I'm dissappointed to say the least. Not to mention, just like all the other bomb jumpers I get the "oh I didn't see your 5000 requests for a turt, I just assumed that you'd want a bomb - especially since I just played you turt on turt and know your form" attitude. Gah! :mad:

I assumed it was a rematch but it doesn’t matter if it was a rematch or a match match - I asked for a turt, received a challenge, and was presented with a bomb. I'm tired of the "I didn't see that you asked for a turt" excuse. Why pick me out of a random line of gold players on the list? If you know someone runs a turt and you challenge them with a bomb without them knowing - even if you didn't see their request for a turt then you are just as bad in my book.

It's not like I was just sitting out on the board - I was in the lobby unplaced and requesting turts - that’s it. I was involved in no other chat.

I have never ran anything but a turt, and I have requested information on turt playing numerous times and played Forest_Archer just yesterday.

All those are just coincidence right?

Its not fake, I just cut and pasted the text box onto the board to keep it small enough so that I could use .bmp format and it wouldnt exceed the size limits for me to host it at imageshack. I'm as far from a computer wiz as they get.

Ask Forest_Archer if the basic facts (he challenged me, I was not on board, I had a turtle, he had a bomb) are true or not. I do not believe he is an inherently malicious person, I just don't agree with him using the fact he knew I would bring a turt and that’s why he challenged me with something that is impossible for a new player to beat as a turt.

Picture aside, look at the text - he states he is running a bomb. Or are you insinuating that I somehow faked that too?

Why dont you just save it as JPG and then host it and post the direct link to image? That way, all the people who are on F_A's side can see it.
Okay, the way I see it is that Calon was asking for turtle games, F_A /challenged him and then Calon played him assuming that F_A would have turtle on. (which he didnt)
F_A could have just told you that he had a rush on, but he didnt. And probaly did it on purpose because he knows he could get away with it.

I was in the lobby. No one was really saying anything, so I say, "Calon1, game?" and I challenge you. I go back to the forums and I wait for the little battle sound. Then the game starts. How would I have known that you had a turtle? And also, you are assuming that I want a rematch???? FROM A GAME A DAY BEFORE? Are you nuts? You can't assume this!

Using information about someones formation to confront them with one that is designed to exploit it is an unfair advantage - and dishonest.

Thats why I posted. Heaven forbid me for actually contemplating the idea of someone being held accountable for their actions.

I don't care who you beleive, that is inmaterial to my intent - which is an effort to set the standard that honesty > dishonesty/unfair advantage.

It comes down to intent. I will never know F_A's true intent but I do know what he couldnt have possibly forgoten in 24 hours. Thats where my accusations are derived from.

Do you know how many games a day I play? I really don't remember most of them. Why challenge you? All the other players had below 900 stats. I'm pretty sure that's a good reason. :)

Also, how is bombing a turtle a disadvantage for the turtler these days? I mean really! You freaking killed my pikachu (wisp) first turn!

More to the point, his formation wasn't "designed to fight yours", if it was, and he remembered the formation exactly as you had it the day befor(assuming he is this dishonest character you so want him to be), he would have put up a same side rush, not a spread rush

If you say that you honestly didn't know that I'd be facing you with a turt and you didn't think that placing a bomb against a known turt was not even in your concious then great, my bad. Judging by your statement in the picture it would be easy to think that you were putting up a bomb against a turt on purpose. That coupled with the other things I mentioned (BTW, I didn't know that remembering 24 hours worth of activity was beyond your control, my appologies on that assumption) made it easy for me to connect the dots.

There seems to be an easy solution to the problem. Learn to win with a turt.It's more than just possible, it's probable. Especially from the position you had. You have a lw up in the grill of the 2 units it can kill in one shot. From that point, you can stone, finish the dsm, and be ready to defend against the remaining units. Without stoned units, your lw and dragon are king. Combine that with some decent frost work, you can eliminate his mud and scouts, losing a few units in return. Your turt whould have won that game.

I think the BRs were your only real threat in that game. The DSM was clearly on wait from that position and nothing was directly threatening your Stonie focus (a BR could have made two moves, but by that point you could attack and move in the way). Cleric is, for lack of a better word, safe. I think you could have won from that standpoint.

Then again, I don't know the HP of your attackers or his.

As for whether F_A intentionally set him up, it looks like that's already been settled, so no comment.

Read through (ALL) the posts again and direct me to where I called him a liar? I called the actions, as I perceived them, dishonest and that’s as close as it gets. I actually said that I did not believe him to be malicious.

Later, I posted that if he wasn’t thinking the way it appeared to me that I was wrong and even later, retracted and apologized. It was probably the fact that I had been previously treated in this way and triggered undue emotion.

But for redundant clarification, as it seems to be needed, it was never about the 'game' or the 'player' or the 'fact that I was up against a rush/bomb' it was about the principle. Since, in his defense, he denounces my accusations and because he is an honest and forthright fellow, I retracted my allegations.

I know Forest_Archer and I don't see him as putting up a rush against a turtle if he was asked for a turtle match. He's just not the type to trick you into winning stats from you. He can play me in a fair match and still beat me.
