Max needs 40 hours to qualify for National Honor Society. He has 13, nice job, right? Well to get his other 27 hours he is putting down TAO!

On the form he is claiming he "moderators an online community to make it as friendly as possible"

Is this not ridiculous?

What forms have you guys exaggerated activities on? I know I lied a bit on my college apps... Extra curricular activities I put worked with "anti-drug" programs... :rolleyes:

I swear to god, if I get away with this, this proves that the educational institution in this country is completely worthless.

Wait... 40 hours? That's it? You guys have it easy. I didn't try to join NHS because we needed 100 hours plus the school's required 50 hours. (We get a total of 2 credits over the four years by doing 50 hours of comm. service. These hours don't count toward NHS.)

I learned that in about 2nd grade. Around 6th I found out it wasn't just completely worthless but in fact it is one of the worst run systems I can think of.

I B.S. my way through research papers and get A's.

Just write a whole lot of wordy, basically useless sentences that aren't run-ons and you've got yourself a nice paper. :)

That will change in college. Professors put a big fat line through useless sentences. My one professor put "Where is the beef" on a page because he claimed it was all "fluff". >_<

oh, NHS is a joke. I lost my snazzy certificate a while ago. They had these big elections for who was NHS secretary and such. I kinda found it a bit... well, dumb.

For my high school, it was their way of saying "hey we have smart kids too!" cuz otherwise we got the rare ivy league matriculate and that's it. :rolleyes:

I need 40 hours of community service to graduate highschool.(stupid rule) I have 14 right now. I think I know what my other 26 hours are gonna be thanks max!:D

I'm in my school's chapter. There wasn't a set amount of community service involved.

Lucky me.

I got a lot of church activities though, and I had plenty to put under leadership.

Now that I think about it; I really did consider using my experience as a Mod in one of my Cornell essays. What was I thinking?

If I knew any of my profs would write that on a paper, I would purposefully write a page or two of crap just to get it. Then I would probably frame it.

My history teacher for the past two years (not anymore) drew little pictures on papers. I got a drawing of a gun when i mixed up some names; a gallows on blatantly made up stuff. Or a one-eyed frowney face resembling my grade when I wrote "Draw a smiley face with one eye if you're actually reading this, Mr. ####"
