View Full Version : Gray jumpers give me stats.

I just had a game with a gold named yocker, who jumped me while I was looking for a game. Now I don't like gray jumpers, I think that if you have an advantage like a gold does, you should ask for a game with a gray before you jump in. I mean seriously guys, make use of that shiney new /challenge feature, it makes the game better for everyone.
(For those who don't like wonderful, too-long, play by play descriptions of games, skip to the bottom.)
Anyway, our opening words, and moves are below:
http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/3381/temp4mm.th.jpg (http://img224.imageshack.us/my.php?image=temp4mm.jpg)
Our setups are basically unchanged, I'd moved my assassin up one space, LWed his scout, and moved and attacked with my witch to bring his scout to 2hp (with healing); while he Furgoned a bunch and healed.
He Furgoned up a bunch more shrubs and I passed, relatively safe thanks to the wall of shrubs he conveniently put in front of me. (Besides, who'd attack into a Furgon turtle that has two Clerics, a Frosty, and an Enchantress?) Eventually he moved his Frosty forward two spaces and froze my knight. I moved my witch two spaces to the right and hit both his Frosty and Muddy, and followed that up with a scout diagonal shot on the Frosty. He healed, couldn't move the Frosty in time because it was surrounded by his own units on all sides, and I killed it, bringing his Muddy down to 24 as well.
I moved in with my assassin, his Muddy attacked, she blocked, he realized that she and my scout would kill the Golem before it could recover and he left. The game ended like this:
http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/9188/temp6et.th.jpg (http://img103.imageshack.us/my.php?image=temp6et.jpg)
http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/2298/temp4of.jpg
Anyway, for those who don't like to read, the game went like this: He made lots of bushes, I killed his guys from behind the wall of bushes he kindly protected me with, he left.
I really would've liked him to have stuck around long enough for me to kill his Muddy and mock him, but I s'pose you can't expect decensy from gray jumpers. :D
As this isn't the first time I've been jumped by a gold recently, the moral of the story is: Stop jumping me it's freeking annoying!

How did he get a rating above 1200 with that kind of setup?
I suppose if one jumps enough low-ranked greys one can even get to around 1400.
I'm not the least bit surprised that you won. Good job.

Apparently 1200 isn't even a great rating for greys anymore. I remeber when 1000 was respectable; it showed you could give anyone a good game. Oh well. Stat inflation, what can you do eh?

And another one bites the dust!
I'm just going to post all my screenshots of gray jumpers who lose to me in this thread, because I don't like them. I encourage others to do the same.
http://img358.imageshack.us/img358/7103/temp1ck.th.jpg (http://img358.imageshack.us/my.php?image=temp1ck.jpg)
http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/5910/temp4fm.th.jpg (http://img219.imageshack.us/my.php?image=temp4fm.jpg)
the last thing he said was: "Why don't you stop being such a pu@@y and unfreeze our units?" To which I responded with the rather mature comeback of turning on my capslock and stringing a half a dozen or so of 'H's and 'A's together, followed by pointing out to him that he lost to a gray that he jumped. In capslock, of course.
Just in case anyone gets the wrong impression, I'm not bragging about beating crappy golds (I would brag, but there's nothing to brag about in most cases) but instead am trying to give them a bad reputation. Because I hate gray jumpers!

Yeah, it was probably some n00bs. Once a n00b gets a hold of a gold account, they're like "Hey...I can beat the snot out of greys now, 'cuz they suck!" This is not the case sometimes. It's still sad that they do it.

Well, good job again...I guess.
I don't condone grey-jumping ever, but judging from their forms and the end games, the ones who are jumping you probably can't even come close against other golds. That doesn't excuse their behavior, but it may explain it. Perhaps they don't even know better. (Well, the 1st guy in the thread knew what he was doing).
Just a thought.
Again, judging from thhe 2nd guy's set, I'm not at all surprised you won. He didn't have a mud or any scouts. I don't know if that's worth bragging about...

I know they totally suck. I've played good golds. And lost to them. Alot. I'm just poking fun at the golds who jump me and lose because, well, I hate gray jumpers!

I've played good golds, and I've won! But good job, its fun beating golds.
I remember the first gold I played, I got lucky and he got mad. So we played again, and I beat him again barely. THis time I didn't get lucky. The third time I destroyed him, and he wasn't very happy.

Nice wins.
I 0wn3d a 1333 gold with the default set myself.
Note to grey jumpers: Don't do it. You might just get owned.
I wish i had a screeny of that fight to show you.
But at the end, i had 2 knights, chanty, cleric.
he had 2 knights.
So he gave it up.
