Simple. Easy. Fixes alot of probablems.
/rules
something like...
1) No excessive swearing, or attemting to get around the swear filter.
2) No cybering.
3) No cheating (boosting of stats).
4) No trolling (insulting members/staff)
5) No hacking

And it should be in red. Seriously.
Now mods wouldn't really have to 'warn' people. They should KNOW.
But they could keep warning. Just now that they can be more free with boots/bans.

People who do this stuff are well aware that it's against the rules.
Hacking, no such thing on this game.

But the mods like to say they have to warn people before they boot. This fixes that.

As for hacking, its been done (check the Blacklist).

That would be quite helpful to have another way to see the rules and all, but, again, how do you make a n00b look at them?

Hacking - retards who either give people there passwords, or they have dumbass ones. There's no such thing as hacking on this game. That's what the mods are for. How do you know someone didnt actually read it if a mod said "Did you read the rules? What? You gonna hook them up to a lie detector?

And that's also what the TOS is for.

Granted, thats true. But it would cut down on the, umm, 'n00bs'.
I mean, seriously. A mod boots a guy asking girls for sex. He comes on and complains. The mod responds with "Read the rules".

There is a way to boot people from their games. You know you have been hacked when you disconnect immediately when you attempt to move/attack.

Here is a good rule. When threads are closed, a reason is given. Most mods already do this but not always.

A.) You'll most likley get banned for your sig.

The in-game mods are there to enforce the rules of the TOS, that's what there job is. Not to sit back and say "Read the rules."

this goes into that list of things that people who have common sense will already know, and those that don't won't bother paying attention too

Thanks. That makes much more sense.

ChainGangSoldier(hacking ATTEMPT), ImagineThat(he actually was able to shut down ALL the severs, except for rev), and someone in SI was telling me about another guy a long time ago who shut down the servers, I forget who it was though.

No. The majority of "hackers" are people that TAO members idiotically(sp?) gave their password to. There's a slim chance you'll get a guy just sitting there for hours trying to guess a password. It's a waste of time for little gain.

Um why not make the /rules command only for mods to save them typing time when warning cyberers...its much more official.

I like this idea a lot, to make the n00bs look at it, it shows up at the top when you log in.. After the welcome

Q, my boy, you just got 0wned by cosmo.

And as to my sig, I haven't gotten banned yet, nor will I.
Why?
Overwhelming support for that, also by some mods too....
Plus there is that little fact I've had for 3 weeks, including arguing (insulting) with sergiy in a thread while it was in my sig.
Then there's the little thing that if he bans me it makes my statement all the more true....

Lastly, the force behind this idea was to help mods out. Instead of having to warn people, they could still do that if they wanted, but now they could boot loud, obnoxious people without warning them. Or something.
At any rate, TAO needs this.
