I had this idea when there was loads of golds inda lobby but none of them want a game, the just lobby sit.
There was bout 14golds in the lobby at the time.
I thought that maybe say you can spend 10mins in the lobby then have to go in a game and the time will restart again.
So those lobby sitters wont just chat in the lobby all day never playing a game.
isnt playing the game what TAO is all about?
That a way the people who want a game but cant get them because of lobby sitters can get the games they deserve.

You can't make them play, as long as they pay.
That's some of the golds features. To stay in the lobby as long as they want.

Freezer makes a legitimate point. That is one of the features of gold. If people would like to pay $5 a month for a chatroom, let them!

to my knowlege this wasn't really a feature for gold advertisement at any point, its just kinda evolved that way once servers started getting filled up

some new stuff was added in to help cope with that, so greys started getting kicked

Plus it is fun to chat with other players.:)

Nah. What if the gold is like a chat-cop or something or just can't play games? I mean, it would open up some lobby space, but there's always Rev.

Edit: Actually, Freezer's 100% right.

From what I recall from stuff that happens to me is that if no action is taken place in 15 minute time span the user is automatically disconnected. But then again, that revolves on no action, not chatting.

That would just be annoying, it takes a gold 1 second to log back in.

And when a gold does no action for a certain amount of time, he does get disconnected.

I don't think that would solve much.

But what about an extended time for greys? I mean, it takes me awhile to make up a set, and is also annoying getting d/c every minute or so. Extend it a bit, but not much longer.

It's perfect, the longer they extend it, the longer you have to wait to enter the lobby. ;)

We don't want such a long waiting line as Legends.

You see, when golds want on, they get on, they pay their 5 dollars a month. If they want to sit there and do nothing, they can do it. As long as their paying there money, TAO doesnt care. But I acually do think its a good idea.

But what good would kicking them off do because they could just log back on in a second and sit there for another 10 minutes. Unless your talking about kicking them and not letting them back on then thats different.
