I just got out of a battle i was confident was mine, but ended in a draw. The entire game he was rushing unit after unit against my mage units and scout. He got all of them, but at a heavy price. two knights his scout, two mages, and his assassin. I was left with all my knights, bw, lw, and two clerics. Then i was amazed at what i was oblivious to. His cleric was located in the back so only two sides were available next to him. He had put his Lw and Bw next to him so that only mages and scouts could hit his cleric. At first i told him, "wow, great job, i didnt even realize that." when he replied, "what are you talking about? I suck, i lost." i checked his stats. 750 vs. 1298 (me) Unfortunatly i didnt have an assassin for a bomb, so it had to end in a draw. no idea what he was doing, thinking mages were most dangerous as usual, but it payed off. Oh well, i only use these servers as practice for my legends account.

Well, that's pretty sad that as a 1298 you drew with someone who put their wards in the back row. If you "only use these servers as practice for [your] legends account," then it appears you need more practice. :hi:

I shouldnt have said practice. I play as gold on legends and when i feel like playing a grey game i play there. I know i suck, i dont really care. Im not dedicated to this as many of these people.

I don't recall reading anything saying you sucked. By the sound of the game, it looked like you held the upperhand most of the game, not to mention you lost due to a technicality. Getting to within the range of 1300 as grey is pretty good in my book bro.

Off course, getting 1337 grey is even better, now, who do we know whose done that?

First off you say dedicated like there is something wrong with it when there isn't...and clearly you got that high by just playing alot because I play over 1000 stated grey's all the time and flawless them 9/10 of the time...no way. and I dude...good job on 1000 posts whenever you do it :P

This place is like a cult, you dont like anyone unless theyre just like you. What will i do, ive been called a weirdo. not my problem if you interpreted that as it was a bad thing. Theres a difference between playing the game often, and being dedicated. Being too dedicated can be bad, just look at some of these people on here...

And AU, you and all the other people who go

need to realize how retarded that is. Seriously, how old are you? My 9 year old cousin does that, you doing it is like a need to make friends on the internet.

my best set ever was really fun and it was based on killing the scout and mages at almost any cost :-) ... once they were dead the chanty ownage was amazing. i played 1400+ greys whenever i could find them and only lost one game due to extreme luck where the person had nearly the best settup they could have facing my set and then they also got a witch side and a scout side in a row (either hit and the game was mine). other than my loss i only ended up losing at most 4 pieces in a game.

anyways good job on the stats and i belive it was naruto ghost that used that strategy but won with it. eh who knows

Then again some golds act like noobish greys.. by jumping greys on floors then when challenged by a gold they back down >_<.

When I see that formation I get giddy inside.... I use my mages/scouts as bait and go to work.

Wow, that's an awesome way to guarantee at least a draw in a grey on grey game. Most greys only use 1 or 2 mages...

yeah i played many games with ppl who play for a draw, but if you have a chanty you can still win pretty easily if u still have cleirc cuase you can jsut walk up and freeze all 3 units, but i see no point in playing with a set like that guy did

I used that strategy for a couple of months back in 04, when I was a grey. It worked quite well. I would pin my cleric in the corner with my wards and then focus on taking the opponent's scout, pyros, witches, chantys, and assassins. When it was down to his knights, cleric, and wards, I knew I could get away with at least a draw.
