it could be your computer. Some people(myself included) are reporting getting a worm/virus frmo the hmoe page, that could be it =/.Something like this should've gone in random discussion though

I should neg you all, he's asking for a suggestion on how to fix his problem, this is a suggestion fora. Yes, he coulda used bugs, but does it really matter? And yes dooms, it probably is your computer, does it only shutdown after 45 mins of TAO, or does it do it after 45 mins of any game?

This is the best you guys can do?
Idiots!
No offense (well, actually, yes I mean this offensively), but if someone has a technical issue, "it might be your computer" isn't really helpful, so maybe you kids should keep quiet, yah?
Why don't you arses just give up the pretense and say PC+1 to save us some time? That way we don't have to waste the effort of reading your posts and find out that it was a waste of 10 seconds from our lives.
1. The link on the homepage has NOTHING to do with TAO, nor will it affect TAO in any way, shape, or form. PLEASE do not speak in ignorance, especially as the nature of the link (and that it has been removed) have been repeatedly explained. IT IS NOT A VIRUS. It is a worm which accesses an exploit in PC's that do not have SP2 (or are not up to date in their protection).
Glam even linked the info on it for people...

2. Doom, it IS your computer, no maybe about it. This isn't saying I know what the specific problem is, but simple logic. If you alone are having this crash issue, then its not the game, its you.
That being said, I have 2 theory on the topic, as I've experienced similar problems playing from my laptop. First question, does your browser basically really slow down? Like you can move your mouse (albeit jumpily), but not access any windows? Are you forced to manually reboot your comp?
Your connection type may be lagging or dropping packets, causing some sort of memory error when playing.
The other theory is that for some reason TAO has some sort of memory leak that builds up over time.
Neither one of these I can give definite answers, as I've never been able to resolve my own issues. This is just a complex way of saying you most likely won't be able to fix it if its the same (or similar) problem I've experienced in the past. The only suggestion I have on how to try to fix it is to udate your drivers for your system, and if your playing on a wireless system when playing TAO to not do so.
Also, try the bugs section next time, not suggestions (and not RDT either...idiots!) ;)

Make sure you have the latest mascromedia flash player, or at least 6 or better since TAo runs on that, run a virus scan, and check internet connections, If you run on a router, sometimes hitting the reset button onthe back kicks your router and the internet will kick right back up (if you have "automatically detect settings on")
