Rare units available to free accounts...

On the legends server... it says

These criteria can change with each big update involving new units. The earlier you upgrade, the more units you will be automatically eligible for! (Some Rare Units will eventually become available to even FREE accounts in the future.)

does this mean that rare units will be available to free accounts here too?

I'd say that'll happen in roughly 6 months, when dragons eventually become obsolete. Don't count on the trial accounts getting any of the rare units for QUITE some time.

another thing I noticed... as I was playing on the legends server...

they don't have a swear filter... I said hilter... just to spite the filter... it was fun... I think I might have lost a couple of IQ points... but... it's worth it to be able to say boobookittyfuck.
