I beat imagination. He got the blocks early on, I got them late. It was a tough game, and I was forced to sacrifice a scout and mud to finish off his annoying 3 knights and and and frost ad cleric, after exchanging frost for mud and dragon and scout early. The 4/6 front dragon blocks really hurt me quite badly, and forced me onto the defensive too much; it allowed the knights to get in close, and without a frost to back up Lucy, it meant that I couldn't free both my scouts and mud to take out his frost easily, which cost me the scout and mud in effect.

That combo is especially anoying with a scout and if you control the furgon that is defending. That is the only reason I beat bubo was becasue of my furgon /scout/lward combo and a bit of luck blocking ways.
However this may be one of the best match ups I have seen.

Well, if Geeky plays it right, Bot doesn't have enough attackers to really do anything drastic. A frosty/wisp combo can easily deal with a scout and 2 knights, shrubs or no shrubs. Add in a dragon for raw damage-dealing and scouts for range, solid play can flawless even the best player in Bot's situation (so ... pretty much just Bot :bigsmile: ). The problem is only in what units it will take to beat Fry, and how those match-up with Bot's form. A simple turtle can easily flawless Bot, but how will it fair against Fry? It is situation's just like this where a form and a style of play like mine come in very handy.

But as much support as I can give to Geeky, it will take perfect play to do either part of this challenge, much less both. Good luck to Geeky, but good luck to RTT as well. As much as I may regret this, I want RAWR to have the pleasure of knocking them out. That is, after I get past noda and Wayf. I intend to play all 3 players on their team. Can't let blud share the burden, I want to kill the most units in this round as well :p .

KB basically had it. With a adurable set (read turtle) it won't be hard at all to beat bots units.

However, then he has to turtle, which puts him in a terrible position to play his next game. basically we see accentuated what is really the point of gaining a one-game advantage; seeing the dude's set. Only in this case, Geek's set may actually be manipulated by the units that Bots has. I know that I wasn't going to risk, say bombing when I played an opponent who had scout frost and on eother unit (forgot what it was >_<) because it was so important to flawless them. I chose a 3 knight/mud anti set. Solid, not risking a loss of unit, and yet able to stand up in any freestyle game.

Geeky of course has to still worry about flawlessing, but while he can do it easily, but he has some serious choices to make with regards to his setup.

Of course he could try and get fry to prematurely agree to a turt game, but good luck with that.

Basicly I just have to beat two of the best Netjakkers ever by playing perfectly and devising the perfect formation and flawless one of them in order to knock out arguably the best tag team there has been.

I suspect a furgon will be involved, but Fry won't mind that one bit. And if you're going to furgy me up, Geek, you still have to come in and get me. Frost/wisp? Knights will eat even an armored wisp for breakfast. And remember, I do only really need to take the wisp to give Fry a massive advantage, if Geek uses one.

I'm 60% confident I can take a unit even if Geek uses a good furgon turtle and takes his time about knocking me down. If he uses anything other than a turtle, it'll be more like 90%.

But we shall see. I will be on again about 8 hours from now.

I would love to get this done, so Blud has plenty of time to finish this thing off. As I understand it, the tourney ends Thursday. I should be on tomrrow evening, probably late evening. I will be available most of Wednesday to play. Thursday is pretty much off limits, as I will be celebrating for the holiday.

I not only need to play Wayf, but I hopefully will need to play lodo as well. I am trying to provide plenty of times that I am active to make sure this gets done.

Due to changes in teams, and constant conflicts on everyone's part, Including myself, the tournament was announced to be lengthened until after this weekend, aka Monday, unfortunately.

I apologise for the length of this round, but the tournament, actually, is almost over. This round is the quarter finals, as teh second round. So I have confidence it will end rather quickly after we scrap 4 more teams.

Geeky, I've been itching to play this game since I played Noda's 4 units. This is killing me, because I have this feeling of guilt that I haven't played yet, but I know I've been as active as anyone. I'm trying buddy, I'm trying. I'm hoping Wayf finds a way or that lodo can play me sometime, but I haven't heard from either of them recently. Thats the game plan, jimbo. Even though I hate people not playing games (including myself) without punishment. There's really nothing I can do, however. People havent been complaining about length either, so if the peopel are good with it, we'll continue.

Lodo, I have been on one of the servers for at least 2 hours every day that I got back from vacation, and I tend to leave my forum account logged in. I am at work right now, but should be back home in a few hours, depending on when I get off. English time is 5 hours ahead of US East Coast, correct? (It is 12:23 pm here) So that would put me home most likely around 4 pm EST (9pm for you?) I'll pm this to you as well.

I have a pm box too. Wayf can't play right now, as far as I know, he still can't get on. We would have had this game done a week ago if not for the ip mishap.

Lodo, you may have been on, but it certainly doesn't seem like it, because you haven't made your presence known. My computer stays logged into the forums when I am in my apartment, or when I am at work. I feel that I am by far one of the more active players of this game from the sheer fact that I check in while I am doing other things (procrastination). So I asked that either you or Wayf pm when you were ready to play, as I am usually available to make it online, that is if I'm not at work, or in class. I have not heard from you until today, and you only posted in this thread once. I would have assumed that if you had a time in mind, you would have let me know, through this thread or through pms. Please, pick a time, and I will let you know if I can make it.

Funny, because I'm on almost every day during the midday. I am home almost every afternoon from 2 until 5, because I watch 3 episodes of Star Trek that comes on TV. ok, my scout to the left is on 26, my cleric is on 8, my mud would be on 45 from his quake, my frost is at 42

his dragon is at 2 recovery? maybe down to 1, his muddy is ready to go (he's about to kill my cleric with it), my knight (bottom) is on 1 recovery

all other units are full health and no recovery

I am not asking for a win off of this, that would be unfair. But it would be unfair to me to replay the game any other way, because of a few things. I feel like I made the best moves I could have, and lodo made a few mistakes. He won't make those mistakes again, because he has seen the consequences. If we replay, he will undoubtedly know my plan, and pwn me. I play for surprise, and my tiny little turtle (I thought) was doing well.

In short, someone help us.

From the point where he left:

He mudquakes, and moves his mud into the corner (where the cleric died) to prevent my frost from moving there. I advance my scout (was at 26, now at 12 from the quake) and shoot his cleric (from the double chess shot). My knight can kill the cleric the next turn, no matter hwere he moves or what he does. With his cleric gone, my full health dragon blasts his scout, lowering to 14. I asume by now he has killed the scout that attacked his cleric (via his dragon or his scout). If he uses the dragon, I finish the scout with either a side hit, or a muddy hit (or quake). If he picks the scout, I freeze the muddy in the corner (his dragon cannot reach my frost that turn). He undoubtedly advances his GA, and hopefully I have killed that scout by the time it reaches me. With some stone, and a little frost work I could have easiyl gotten him down to 3 units, quite possibly less. If he plays short of perfect, or gets any bad luck, it is very close as to who wins.

Under the circumstances, I am trying to be generous. As I understand it, I could take the win with the units I have left, no? If lodo wins the game, he has about 3 units left, one of which would be a GA, one of which would be a knight. If the unexpected happens and I pull of the win, I have a stone, and maybe 2 attackers. I doubt either of us could take a unit from our next opponent. Lodo feels 3 units would be enough to get one from blud, I'm not sure how.

That being said, with the approval of meat, lodo's team, and my own teammates, we could draw the game, and let blud and wayf start fresh for the deciding game. I await some responses.

I thought I was being generous, trying to do all I could to make it fair to lodo. I offered to recreate the game, he declined, so we sought advice here. The longer this goes, the more it seems he wants out of it. He played badly, I played well, a weaker form was holding up with a better one. For all I know, he left on purpose, who's to say he didn't? Either accept the help I am trying to give, or I will seek a win out of this, with the units I have in the s/s. I will not have my face played.
