An advanced search returned no results, but if this has already been done i apologize. This is my first create-a-unit so please try not to be too harsh ;)
The mime is a unit that copies other units complete set of stats and abilities (blocking, armour, attack, recovery, movement, hp, etc.).The attack lasts only for 4 turns, but the recovery for the actualy "copy" attack is only 1, as the attack was used when the Mime was still itself, so it received its own recovery time. The attack range for the copy attack is 4 squares in any direction (2 diagonally), can not be blocked by barrier ward, and has no negative effect on the unit that it copies, the attack only works on opposing units (wards not included!).If the Mime copies a unit such as an enchantress and uses the paralyze spell then after the 4 turns are up the spell will end and the focused effect will be eliminated. If the Mime used an attack/ability that was acquired from the unit it copied on the third turn, and has a recovery time of 2 or more turns, the end of the copy attack will not undo the recovery time.
I appreciate everyone using "constructive critisiscm"
Hit Points- 34 (*)
Power- 0 (*)
Armour- 0% (*)
Blocking- 10% front (*)
5% side
Recovery- 1 (*)
Movement- 3 (*)
Target- Any square within 4 spaces (*) edit: this was supposed to be asterik'ed in the begining, my bad it was forgotten:sorry:
*Stat is changed to the attacked units stat when the "copy attack" is ensued
(sorry about no picture I'll do my best to come up with something)

Looks fairly good, seems balanced, but you'd need the opinion of Hellblazer, the lead CAUist.

Ok, enough sucking-up. There are far more important CAUers than me.:p
Anyway, I've seen stuff like this before, so it's not very original. It's also not a particularly great idea because, if you wanted to, you could attack a DT and have a unit with DT stats and a bigger range.

no the range would be the same as a DT, and also it wouldn't stay a DT for very long, it would only get one attack in, and then once its changed back u can bomb the heck out of it....but now that i think about it, the hp changes would be all outa wack....reduce the % of hp taken off when it changes back i suppose

looks pretty good to me. I think the ability has been proposed before, but givin' it range and time makes it balanced.
just a few questions about the HP:
what happen if I copy a unit with higher HP, like a golem (60HP) ? will the mime's HP raise up to 60 or it'll stay in 34 but it can go up to if I use a cleric ?
what about if I the mime has less than 34 HP ?
if I copied a Golem (60HP) and it has 50 HP and the time runs out, will the mime HP go down to 34 or it uses a math formula to calculate the remaining HP the mime will have ?
I know those questions may sound annoying, but i was thinking also in a unit that affects HP and I'd like to hear your opinion about it.

Not from what I see. There's no asterisk in parenthesis next to the range.

Well, that's much better. However, you aren't forced to attack, so it's still not all that great of an idea.

hey u shud just leave the HP at 34... no change in HP is needed seeing as how the unit will only be different for a brief period of time all in alll its a good unit

I never ever changed the hp, yuo misudnerstood.Say it copies a mud golem, and then once the copy attack is dnoe with the Mime is at 44 health, the % of hp taken off will be reduced from 34 once it changes back

Because of the whole copying dragon tyrant thing, which is exactly what people would use it for (or maybe a cleric for a fast 2nd heal), I'm just wondering if it can become allied or opposing units. Maybe both?
